wonder if there was any reason for that perhaps relating to injuries

He didn’t have his best players playing in game 2, just like uga didn’t in game 1 and 2. He needed that bama luck from game 1. He got smashed when he didn’t have it.

Dude, we had a freshman in Jacorey Brooks whose catch tied the game and helped beat AU in the Iron Bowl. Traeshon Bolden and Latu also and usually clutch chain movers in Slade Bolden and B Robinson. The freshmen didn’t come through in the CFP championship. They weren’t ready to step up against an elite defense. One passing touchdown with 57 passes and 30 yards rushing ain’t gonna cut it. They had 5 weeks to prepare. Gotta adjust and win with who ya got. Could Metchie and Williams have helped? Sure. But they weren’t there. It’s over. Moving on.

ETA: I hate myself for biting on this.

Doesnt matter though because we're going SCORCHED EARTH this year. Beating the shite out of everyone. You all might as well forfeit to save your team from certain death

Time's like this I'm pretty sure most (if not all) are just alters to stir up trouble. Some (like Stephen) are just more committed to the bit.

Excuses. Bama starts off #1 last year and claims it’s a rebuilding year. Your just like saban with making excuses every time you lose

We lost far more than that. Bama got lucky.

Everyone remember when I posted about Alabama posters continuously regurgitating this bs and I was told it was just me and I was just cherry picking?

Well……exhibit A (this thread)

LINK

quote:

“If we would have had 1 or 2 players in the game we wouldn’t have lost.” Look at the most injured teams last year and tell me where Georgia was. Georgia overcame and didn’t miss a beat except for one game, and it was a game that their playoff chances were not dependent upon. You expect me to believe that Alabama, in the biggest game of the year, somehow lost because of 1 or 2 players? If that is true, then it speaks to their lack of quality depth, and means that Georgia had better backups than Alabama, which means that Georgia was the better and more complete team. You have two hands you can count rings on. Get over it and accept that Georgia was better than Alabama last year and move on.

Sounds like you're in denial. Alabama beat that arse last year for the championship, AND won on aggregate

We had 2 first round WRs that our whole offense ran through. Everyone knows that. Stop trying to act like they were just meaningless injuries. Not all injuries are of equal importance or impact.

So Alabama was an incomplete team with holes that were magnified when players went down. Maybe Alabama should have built better depth in other position groups. IMO, the only position that would be excusable to blame injuries on a loss would be a starting QB. IIRC Bryce Young played in the title game

Georgia beat Alabama for a trophy. Alabama beat Georgia for a trophy. We were 1-1.

A lot of Georgia fans were saying Georgia didnt even deserve to go to the playoffs after getting beat down by the GOAT. I tend to agree with them.

There was nothing lucky about either team's win against the other. Alabama thoroughly dominated UGA in December, and UGA did the same to Alabama in January
