I haven't denied anything. Georgia won. I'm simply discussing things that influenced the game.

Biggest reasons why UGA won the second game against Bama and not the first.

1) The NC game mattered more for UGA. UGA was in the playoffs either way. Smart coached the SECCG knowing that... he didn't pull Bennett for Daniels in that game because he cared more about what helped UGA long term... having a confident Bennet... then taking a stab at coming back in the SECCG when winning it wasn't necessary.

2) An extra month to get players healthy. UGA was at it's healthiest last year in the NCG. We were still down a bunch of guys, but it was the least injured UGA was all season.

3) Learning from the first game. Bama had to show most of what it had in the SECCG because it was a must win game for them while it wasn't for UGA who didn't need to show everything.

4) Bama players got hurt and their backups couldn't step up. It did factor in for Bama... but the fact it mattered was more a matter of Bama not having the depth we normally see from them, not the fact injuries occurred.

5) Bennett confidence. Smart sticking with Bennett left him with a ton of confidence going into the NCG that he didn't necessarily have in the SECCG. That let him shrug off the horrible fumble call the refs made and not spiral like he did in the SECCG earlier.

Good lord, Why? You are now going to make him think his irrational takes have been right the whole time, but surely even you know we had backups all over the field.

At least clarify your post in a more accurate manner because its not just about pregame health, but also about usage, suspensions, rehabs, and in game injuries.

That's also why teams are supposed to develop their players so that they are ready when called upon. That's easier said than done, and it seems Bama's backups weren't as prepared to step up in the big game this time around (compared to Tua, who changed the outcome of the previous NCG coming off the bench).

I don't disagree with this, but it is a different topic.

so Bama fans should recognize that the game of football was played and the better overall team won that day.

That's what we're discussing, why Georgia was better that day. It's easier to be better when the other team is missing more of their best players/starters to injury.

I don't care who is to blame in this discussion, as that is entirely irrelevant.

When the team is the one responsible for the player not being there it seems relevant.

You are making an arbitrary distinction between players missing for their own fault compared to players missing who were not at fault, as if the reason matters for the rest of the team and the outcome of the games.

So what you are saying is that the reason matters NOT, but the irrational mental gymnast just cant figure it out.
