Why am I still seeing some Alabama fans making excuses about their L in the natty?

More specifically posts on this board.

“If we would have had 1 or 2 players in the game we wouldn’t have lost.”

Look at the most injured teams last year and tell me where Georgia was. Georgia overcame and didn’t miss a beat except for one game, and it was a game that their playoff chances were not dependent upon.

You expect me to believe that Alabama, in the biggest game of the year, somehow lost because of 1 or 2 players? If that is true, then it speaks to their lack of quality depth, and means that Georgia had better backups than Alabama, which means that Georgia was the better and more complete team.

You have two hands you can count rings on. Get over it and accept that Georgia was better than Alabama last year and move on.

It was a rebuilding year.... haven't you heard? If UGA tanks this year, feel to usw that as an excuse.

I have said many times UGA was the best team. Even thought so after the SECCG. With that said, UGA had some injuries, not injuries to 2 of the best players in America.

UGA was the better team though and frankly they were all last season. We caught UGA on a very down night in Atlanta.

I’m not. shite happens. Colt got knocked out. We won. Jameson and Metch got knocked out, Georgia wins. Part of the game.

Congrats on your dub. I’m glad the Braves won at least. Helped ease the pain a little.

Alabama had a very narrow path to victory and it had to include Metchie and Williams. Once Metchie went down in Atlanta our offense slowed and then Williams went down and we were in trouble. That's because our depth wasn't great, we were replacing a ton of starters already on offense from the 2020 team and all in all we were a very good team but a very flawed team. Injuries happen in football. We just didn't have the firepower elsewhere to make up for their losses, which is part of it. Is what it is, wasn't one of our best teams. They fought through a lot of stuff and ended up having a really nice season, but the flaws showed themselves quite frequently during the year. A lot of those guys are back this year and get to try and take that next step and finish the job.

Georgia won the 2021 national title and they earned it with a great season. Cheers.

They see their coach do it, so they do it too.
Pretty simple.
They parrot anything he does.

It didn’t cross my mind until I came on here and read it on a very recent post.

Why do Georgia fans keep seeking validation from Alabama fans is the real question here.

You know what Georgia fans said after 2nd and 26? Me either, because I don't really give a frick what they thought about it.

I think most rational people that can remove their fandom and look at things from a big picture view would agree. I wish more bama fans shared your reasoning skills.

We had a DB that was an All American in 2021 that was not able to play in the game, and an All American edge rusher that was our best defensive player the first half of the season that didnt' paly either. Maybe your guys were "better" than our 2, but the point is we had to adjust and plug in other guys. Maybeif we had those guys the 1st game doesn't go like it did, who knows? It's big time CFB, guys get hurt and you've gotta replace them.

Yes. Georgia was the better team overall but Jameson Williams was UGAs kryptonite. You might not like it, but it’s objectively true

Not an excuse to say that Bama would have won if Williams had been healthy the whole night. Just reality.

Either way, that was a failure of last year's team and coaching staff. Didn't have anyone ready to step up. Thus, Georgia won and deservingly so. They were the better team.

Because you're very selective about which posts you pay attention to?

Georgia really wants validation I guess. How many times have they brought this up? You won, congrats. Impress us all and do it again.

Was it a reply to a thread started by an LSU fan?
