Anybody can buy tickets to a game. How can an organization accept responsibility and apologize for some random person's free speech?

That would be like Walmart issuing a corporate apology for all of the stupidity that happens inside of Walmart nationwide.

If the know what seat it came from they can track who bought the ticket. If they figure out who said it, then they can ban that person from every purchasing a ticket again in their name. If they are then seen at the game by getting someone else to buy it, then they can arrest them for tree pissing. And if that person is a student they can expel them from the university for violating the code of conduct they have for students and staff.

However, i'm getting pretty tired of the obligatory corporate statements condemning racism and bigotry.
I wish they'd come out and say, "Bigotry and racism exists in the world. Always has and always will. Get used to it and grow up."

And that right there is why it is still a story which must be responded to. If you are among those who are tired of hearing about it and wish folks would just "grow up" you are beyond help and the reason it is still an issue.

I have no idea why the university has to apologize. They're not the ones who said those things. Free will is a bitch sometimes.

If you and your family came to my house and some jerk started cursing, acting stupid, I would most likely tell you that I'm sorry that you had to be subjected to that idiot. It's my house and I am responsible for what happens in my house. Unfortunately, there's too many stupid people where it's almost impossible to police. The other fans should have shut him down tbh.

Wasn't that in the corner by the endzone? Teams don't go past the 20/25 yard line anyway.

Well that's more than the Tennessee co-ed got last year when Jermaine Burton clocked her so I guess you can call that progress, but on the flip side Burton is black and she was white so maybe not.

Going by that 15 second clip only, I heard fagot, pussies, projects. Where is our 1st amendment right? Who on this board has ever said a disparaging remark about another fan base when you’re drunk?

Who’s ever been to an NFL game?

Wokeness from Alabama. It’s Alabama’s stadium. If they can identify who the person or persons are, then I suspect, if it’s written on your contract (ticket), that you cannot use any offensive language while in their stadium, then they can be banned I guess. Seems however, that might be infringing on the drunks 1st amendment rights. Additionally, the Texas players did not seem overly upset.

My take, ban alcohol, ban Texas players from doing offensive horn up signs, make all fans before entering stadium take breathalyzer to get in, have upon entry 1 minute woke prayer session.

Geez Louise, the world is going soft

I've never stood up and screamed at the top of my lungs, disparaging remarks at opposing fans or players. Never done it at school, church, pick up basketball game. Why would I? This sounds very normal to you. And you think it's a measure of soft/hard???

Between this and the recent riverboat fight, white dudes in Alabama aren’t looking great right now.
