What are you laughing about?

Texas A&M was #13 when they played Baylor that year and won by just 1 TD. Baylor was new to UK but should have been old hat for Texas A&M.

I was a freshman at UK. Won the NCAAA tourney that spring. Pretty good freshman year.

I was a junior at Alabama and saw Alabama take that Goose Givens-led, previously undefeated Wildcat team to the woodshed in Tuscaloosa.

I was 13 and probably walking around drooling over the coeds at the Gator games whilst the adults were busy cussing Doug Dickey.

The difference.

Anyway, if you took that as such smack that you had to go google a season 38 years ago to see if, possibly, A&M lost, then perhaps you should relax a little.

It was just a lighthearted jab.

I know, it was more of wanting a game now as Baylor folks act like they could beat any SEC teams. Would love for Vanderbilt or Kentucky to beat them just to shut them up.

No sir. As mentioned above I'm 39. Don't get worked up about a mild joke on KY losing to Baylor 38 years ago.

Miami, North Carolina, West Virginia and Virginia Tech were not good teams back then. Baylor was tough, but nothing to write home about.

Our only loss that year was to Texas and we beat the Baylor team that beat Kentucky. Then we beat #2 Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl 31-6. The Rothman mathematical system named us national champions.

1977 may have been the craziest season in college football history. I was 10 and had just started following football.

Miami was 10-1 that year, of course it was the one in O H I O, and Bama played the U

UNC was coming off a Peach Bowl from the previous year and was Top 20 in 1977. I think they went undefeated in conference play but not positive, pretty sure they went to a bowl tho.

I didn't check UNC and was just assuming, but I left off Louisville, who's best win was Memphis.
