It isn't McElwain. It's Saban that handcuffs the offense like this. He doesn't want any bad turnovers that put the defense in a bad position, so we get a 2 score lead and go into run out the clock mode. It's absolutely infuriating sometimes.

Bama offense looks good at times- and then terrible. It's a bit puzzling.
