Why is our pass rush so bad?

I need another thread to diagnose that.

For starters. And a pass rushing specialist on 3rd downs like Dareus in 2009. As well as actual production from the Jack and Star.

I know a couple things about him too.
1. He doesn't have good prescense of time when the clock is running. 2. His leadership skills are still lacking. and I'll throw one more in for a bonus 3. He can't even dump off a screen pass, and is inaccurate in the red zone, costing us points.

1. Have you watched McElroy operate in the pocket the last couple years whenever he's under duress? And you dare to complain about McCarron's lack of poise.

2. Completely overblown. He's only a redshirt freshman. And it's not McElroy is this great leader anyway. One of the chief complaints about this year's Alabama team has been about the lack of leadership on both sides of the ball. I have never seen Greg McElroy rag on Julio for dropping a pass or an offensive linemen for missing a blocking assignment or get on any of our receivers for not getting the job done. So where's this great display of leadership?

3. Again, McElroy completed 27% of his passes in the red zone. 27 frickING PERCENT. Think about that for a second. How can you complain about McCarron's inaccuracy in the red zone when McElroy was ten times worse last year? And McElroy was a redshirt junior playing with the first team offense while McCarron's a redshirt freshman playing mostly with second stringers.

Why are you talking about GMac when I was stating AJ's shortcomings. Or is it because you know I'm right and that Sims is the future?

I will be pulling for Bama but Auburn is going to destry them. The Tide seems to be getting worse as the season continues.

Isn't he more of a Terrence Cody-type NT instead of a penetrating pass rusher like Dareus is? He still wouldn't solve our pass rushing problem.

Don't show your ignorance of defense as well. The 3-4 defense needs a Cody type player for a pass rush to be consistent.

Williams is 6-4 320

1. Our pass rush wasn't anything special last year.
2. Cody took up 2 blockers. Chapman only takes up 1.
3. Upshaw is a DE. Not a linebacker.
4. Hightower's knee won't be back to what it was before his injury until next season.
5. Arenas was one of the best pass rushers in the country out of the secondary.
6. Dareus isn't a great pass rusher like a lot of people thought.

Lulz. Dude is nothing like Cody. Try and keep up with Bama recruiting.
