Smokescreen.
I'll be the first to say this, but I got a bad feeling they're coming for Bert.

I'm glad you have made that assumption, considering Smart's wealth of experience as a head coach. Just as likely to be the next Muschamp as he is to be a great HC.

Maybe. Worked out for Smart.

I know Smart is legit, but man, UGA is gonna hire a guy with no HC experience?
Last time that happened, they kept him for fifteen years, and would've won a ring in 2012 if Saban could've signed Brees instead of Culpeper.
It's kind of amazing how much impact the Miami team doctors had on college football and the SEC.

We were told this would become effective after the SEC championship game. Kirby Smart to Georgia

I've always wondered if that non-compete would stand up.

Seriously though, he better not leave before the bowl games.

Let them come, Bert turned down a "big 6" school the same week we hired him.

He's definitely leaving before the bowl games. No way UGA can afford for him to not start recruiting until mid January.

I mean...I'd prefer it as well...but CMR's first HC'ing gig was UGA..could have turned out much worse...we shall see..

Bama now has its excuse for losing to OU.

Pruitt back to bama if he doesn't take a HC job?

Can't imagine Georgia firing Richt to hire a 1st time head coach.

Pruitt may get targeted by #Alabama but I will not be surprised if Mel Tucker is promoted. Keep an eye on that possibility

Great point, I forgot Richt was OC at FSU before.

So we keep Richt around and bring in Smart? Or just let Smart travel and recruit while Richt gets ready for the bowl?

So much up in the air with our AD, conflicting ego's, possible HC'ing positions...I don't know...maybe...going to be interesting to see how this plays out
