A scared 16-year-old from the sticks knocks on the door at Effie's house. Effie comes to the door with that magnificent 2-foot-tall beehive hair do sticking up majestically and asks "Honey do you want to see a girl?" Scared 16-year-old lowers his eyes and says "I don't know." Effie says "Honey, come on in, nobody's gonna bit you in here."
So as a 16 year old boy you had to pay for getting laid?
Kind of sad. Do you still have to pay?

Toppers has been in the same place a LONG time. Its almost a Clarke County institution LOL. Its a STRANGE place. I haven't been in there in years but in the late 90's there was an elevator from the floor above, which opened to the public on the street level lobby of the building, and the elevator door would open in direct line of site of the runway LOL. Many's the young family who got on that elavator heading in the wrong direction and wound up staring at a totally nude woman hanging onto a pole with a bunch of drunks staring lewdly at her....too funny.
Holy shite I’ve been there. Went to a MSU game at Georgia years ago and remember ending up at strip club but couldn’t remember the name. But this was it
It definitely had the feel of a mafia owned type place

If the toxicology report shows the driver had a high alcohol level then that may become a problem. She was a University employee. I know the father said they were not going to sue the university, but people have been known to change their minds.
I believe the family's statement regarding legal action was more along the lines of "not right now."
...which should have been the AJC's attitude about this article. I fully understand the need to pursue all angles and explore the possibility of impropriety in this situation, but one of the deceased isn't even in the ground yet. The timing is awful. Plus, they needed more information/answers before spewing a cloud of speculation around two dead people.

Any uga fan who doesn’t think this is a big deal should google the personal injury attorney hired by the Willock family. Undergraduate degree from Harvard. Considered one of top attorneys in SC.

He wasn't hired by the Willock family.
Devin was on a NIL deal with the firm, so it was a natural progression for the firm to step in after the accident.

You actually want to read the AJC? In 2023?

Now let's looks at the cow college's coaches and their histories. Don't throw rocks in a glass house, barner.

escort football recruits and players to strip joints, get wasted with them, then go home with them in UGA provided vehicles.
"get wasted with them"
"go home with them"
Where's the evidence of this?

Roy T. Willey IV from Go Big Injury Lawyers???
Sounds like a character from a Carl Hiaasen novel.

Big deal in what context?

And there was also Chelsea’s on Baxter Street.
That was the one I remember people talking about when I was a student.
The honest truth about this is that under Mark Richt (or a guy like Dabo Swinney), players leaving a strip club would be a bit of a blemish on what the program is selling.
Doesn't really matter to UGA these days. We're not selling religion and morality to recruits anymore. We're selling NFL prep and championships.
While whatever toxicology report comes from the driver might matter, the fact they were at a strip club vs a standard bar doesn't matter at all.
It probably would have been worse if they were leaving Boneshakers (if that place still exists). But that would likely be more of an A&M type thing.

The big scoop for me was that there is a strip joint in Athens.
