Dumbest post of the night. I guess he has wings or jets to control his flight. Another superman.

that's the worst part, if there is one thing i am that bad for it is this. i have never thought Julio was the same as AJ and i have always been the annoying outlier. i think Julio is good, incredibly talented, but just overrated. i think AJ is an elite WR and underrated. not underrated in terms of catching but instead of route running and blocking. everyone thinks the guy can't block but he isn't half bad.

i think AJ was the #1 WR and that Julio was #2 but there is a bigger disparity than many said before hand and what the falcons inexplicably gave up for him as only hardened my stance especially with his streaky play. i just really wanted AJ here and know he would have been great

They both averaged 74 yards and .5 a TD per game. I'm not seeing the big difference. AJ played 2 more games. I would think if one was way better than the other, then the stats don't really show it.

If you look at the total number of targets each received this season it's actually pretty close. AJ just converted his targets into receptions and TDs at a much higher rate, while also facing #1 CBs every week. And while also playing much better pass defenses. He's a good bit better than Julio at this point

How can it be a much higher rate when they both averaged the exact same number of TDs per game? Julio averages about .3 less catches per game and about one extra yard per catch. Their stats are almost exactly the same on the per game averages.

I can understand the number one CB issue but at the same time Julio would probably get more touches if Roddy White wasnt the number one.

They both had good years but neither guy is going to be confused with Calvin Johnson at the moment.

Not to be a complete dick, but you didn't understand my post if you think that's relevant. They received nearly the same number of opportunities regardless of depth chart status. AJ's just happened to be against superior pass defenses and #1 CBs.

The Bengals have played 6 games against the NFL's top 5 pass D's. The Falcons have played 1. AJ has been a lot more consistent too, whereas Julio blew up and stat compiled against some of the worst D's in the L (Indy and Carolina).

Julio had a great rookie season and could end up being better than AJ one day, but it's not really debatable right now.

No, body control is a real thing... Go watch a Rajon Rondo layup... And AJ does have better body control

AJ had 5 TDs in his first 7 games and only 2 over the second 7. He had 25 yards last week in a must win game. I understand where you're coming from but at the end of the day they both average 74 yards and .5 TDs a game. If you feel that one 74 yard guys is far more consistent than the other then that's fine but it isn't like AJ hasn't played Arizona, Indy, STL, Cle, etc.

AJ has a rookie qb throwing to him and has no teammates to help take the pressure off of him. It makes a difference when your the only legitimate threat in the passing game.

THANK GOD somebody brought this up.
I think they're different talents altogether, but this is where I think the biggest difference lies.

Were their seasons all that different, considering Julio missed 3-4 games?

A.J. Green: 63 catches, 1031 yards, 7 TDs

Julio Jones: 50 catches, 883 yards, 6 TDs

FWIW, in the game that A.J. Green missed with an injury, Andy Dalton threw for 373 yards against the Ravens defense in Baltimore. I'm a Ravens fan and if it wasn't for some favorable hometown officiating, that game would have went to OT. I was impressed with the Bengals offense and I was particularly impressed with Andy Dalton. He's going to be a really good QB in the future.
