That's good. That would end the farce that is A&M's playoff chances.

Is there a legit link to this story? I searched and can't find one.

If A&M reached out several days ago and OSU said no thanks...I would think that would have to damage the perception of OSU.

Won't happen. The big ten is so poorly managed. At first they were going to cancel the entire season and when the big 12, SEC and ACC went ahead with plan to play they decided they should play. Of course the PAC, like a bunch of puppy dogs, do whatever the big ten tells them to do.

They put the 6 game rule in, knowing they started the season too late with not enough make-up dates built into the calendar. Now, Ohio State wants the 6 game rule changed, because they are affected by it. Who knows what the powers that be will do.

A conference without a lot of vision

While I admire the sentiment, all aTm needs is for ND to beat Clemson again and they're in the playoff because we know Bama is beating UF.

This also feels like a "we know they'll say no so we'll offer to play to make us look good even though we really don't want to play them" kinda thing.

This likely means it's not happening.

B10 just cleared the way for OSU to play in championship game, no matter what.

So pathetic. Here are the rules, unless we don't like the outcome.

Why should IU or Northwestern be penalized for OSU's inability to complete their schedule?

How are IU or NW being penalized ? Ohio st already beat IU and Ohio St will embarrass N'western . And here is how the Ags have done in the past vs OSU:

OSU 24 AM 14
OSU 28 AM 12
OSU 56 AM 13
OSU 17 AM 0

4-0 . OSU would put 50 up on AM this yr .No contest

I would be pissed if I was Northwestern or IU.

Hell..the playoff committee admitted last night they were putting OSU in no matter what when they knew the Mich game was cancelled and still had them at No.4. OSU could not play another game and still get in unless some wacky stuff happened.

If true, will be 1st time I respect the Aggies, honestly think you could give them a run for there money, and would be only less than 7 pt. underdogs. Would be GREAT game.

We are a weird cultish fan base, the all male military background that still lingers today, and the historical mediocrity, plenty of fodder to poke fun of us there. That said, we don't shy away from a fight, we left an easier conference for the SEC and during the best season in recent memory we were willing to put it all on the line to play a team that would undoubtedly be a 1-2 score favorite.

I don’t disagree with your comments, but the Big10 agreed to the 6 game stipulation prior to their seasons beginning. That would be all member institutions.

This reeks of pandering to a specific group, and does a disservice to the other members who have to abide by the same rules.

It is pandering because Ohio State is the only team in the big 10 that can make CFP ,THUS, it meens more money for all the big ten teams that gets divied out .. And , again , it looks like Ohio St /N'Western will play next week, so N'Western gets a shot at the upset ..and IU will still probably play in a NEw yrs bowl game .

If this was Alabama at 5-0 , the SEC would change rules to get them in too .

And furthemore , if they stuck to the rule and Ohio St played Iowa next week while IU /NWtern played in the big ten championship ,Ohio St would still go t0 6-0 and make it to the CFP as a non -big ten champion . So, it really makes no difference as long as Ohio St wins . Right now a win over Iowa may hold more weight than a win over NW stern anyway

What does any of those teams have to do with Jimbo's 2020 team?

History my friend ... Just like Clemson cheaters like to point out they are 4-0 lifetime against OSU ... You really think Jimbo could outcoach Ryan Day ?? NO NO .Jimbo would be a deer in the headlights vs Day and the Silver Bullets
