Well shite...I guess we should just cancel all future cfb games and let all current h2h records be the talking points.
What a stupid thing to say.

If OhioSt accepts this could potentially be genius on A&ms part. Also could be incredibly dumb. Depends who wins the game.

Ohio State ranks # 42 in total defense against pretty underwhelming competition. Do I think Jimbo could come up with a winning game plan? Yeah, it isn't far-fetched that a NC winning coach could take a #5 ranked team and beat a favored #4 ranked team on a neutral field.

Texas anm wouldn’t beat Ohio state unless some fluky stuff happened.

Upsets happen all the time in CFB, but the hypothetical Vegas line is what, 11pts? That wouldn't exactly be a monumental upset if it did happen. It might take a turnover(s) or some blown coverages on OSU's part, but that isn't fluky, that's CFB.

In fairness, OSU returns 3 starters from that 1933 squad.

Mond is too terrible to beat Ohio State.

Maybe your backup next year. He actually looks competent.

this was Alabama at 5-0 , the SEC would change rules to get them in too .

Possible, though not very probable. I can’t argue it, only disagree. I don’t have any more solid data than you, simply a different opinion. But the SEC set a 10 game conference schedule so if Alabama were only at 60% of games played, I doubt it.

quote:

they stuck to the rule and Ohio St played Iowa next week while IU /NWtern played in the big ten championship ,Ohio St would still go t0 6-0 and make it to the CFP as a non -big ten champion .

Which is probably what should be given the opportunity to occur. The B10 screwed their own pooch by sitting on the fence and not being willing to play, then having a late start to a drastically shortened season and giving no chance for a postponement.

The rule of 6 games isn’t wrong... it ensures the CONFERENCE CHAMPION played a minimum of 75% of its games before being crowned. All member institutions should be held to the same standard.

But at least we can agree it is pandering.

We've been winning in spite of Mond all season. He is, at best, an above average SEC QB, and Jimbo has managed games around this. From 15yds and in, Mond is pretty damn decent, he would actually look good/great if our WR core was better than what it is, but its not. Lots of dropped passes, abysmal WR stats, our saving grace is TE.

Can Mond win a NC this year? No, and I don't think any Aggies would argue otherwise, but that doesn't mean shite when we're talking about OSU.

History has nothing to do with these two teams playing each other.

Now if you would have responded that OSU's talent is better than A&M, I might agree with you.

Jimbo is not in fear of Day.

Look Aggie people ... there are 2 teams in the entire country that can beat Ohio St --Alabama and Clemson ,Sooooooooooooooo let it go .You arent playing Ohio st this yr and you are not going to the CFP ..you better concentrate on beating Tennessee instead of begging to play Ohio St ... And hopefully you dont draw IU or N western in a bowl game bc they will beat u as well.

you barely beat the worst LSU team in 21 years playing a true freshman QB and with a probation number of scholarships. barely beat Vanderbilt.

got run out of the building against Alabama.

what your AD SHOULD'VE done is offered to play Ohio State in Columbus because you're the ones who need to prove something.

Exactly. SEC people are always complaining but when the idea is brought up to play a game at Ohio St in Columbus ,in the cold ,wind, and elements of the wicked , you are afraid to make the trip ... Plus, Tex AM is still a SWC team . Why they are in the SEC is stoooopid

Do you not see how delusional this remark is? You're comparing a national title winning coach to a coach with 1 loss in the playoffs. I think Ohio State would be the favorite, but that is based on talent.

Well , its official ..OSU to play N 'Western Dec 19 in Big 10 Champ Game . I will say they should let N'Western choose to not play Illinois this weekend ,thus giving them the same amount of prep time as O$U . Makes no sense for N Western to play Illinois ahead of big ten champ game other than maybe bowl game consideration
