Really love Louisiana food. Everything fried and over seasoned. So good

LSU fans are incapable of talking smack without their homoerotic fantasies taking over.

Damn sure ain't. The only thing they do tolerably well at Texas BBQ joints is sausage. Seems very appropriate that they'd pay attention to phalic shaped food....

I like bbq....doesn't matter what kind.

Any joint that serves collard greens and que is going to get "et" by me.

And yes, that RealisticAg pic looks superb.

It is unseemly to pick on those who face obstacles not of their own making like Texans thinking they know anything at all about BBQ...like making fun of a nun for not knowing how to perform oral sex properly....poor Texans grow up thinking that crap is BBQ and are too old and set in there ways to admit otherwise when they get to be 10 or so and realize it is nearly unedible...

They got cornbread to go with them greens? If so, let’s go.

funny you say that.
no, in my other home state, NC, there is no cornbread in bbq joints

Eastern NC has cornsticks and Western NC has hushpuppies.
Usually cornbread is served at country restaurants that 'serve' barbecue.....run, because the guy probably doesn't smoke it with wood. That is like getting pizza at La Hacienda on cinco de mayo.

What’s a cornstick? Is it like fried cornbread kinda? If so, I’ll allow it.

yes.....different and good.

cornbread that has been fried in sticks.

also the slaw situation in western NC is interesting. Red slaw is really just cabbage with western nc bbq sauce. No mayo or mustard.

Ive learned that folks across the south prefer Georgia/Memphis style bbq before they like eastern or western nc que.

The cornstick sounds great. I’m trying to imagine the slaw. I like when my slaw and bbq combine a little but I think I like the creamy with the tangy combo not all tang. Hmm.
