I love to troll A&M but I'm honestly not really sure how this is possible? I assume they've recruited well in the trenches like they have at most positions?

Made that dude across from him look like LT and Reggie White combined.

A 0? He should write an angry letter like this guy did

The recruiting is a mixed bag, with s mix of large cubes that have no business on a top D1 program, and high rated 4* & 5* that hit or miss, like a lot of D1 programs.
For A&M, it starts with the OL coaches, then the development of the players. The choice of coaches has been terrible, and has hit bottom with Addazio. He hasn’t coached OL in ~ 15 years, but Jimbo likes him.
The development is worse, but given the coaches, expected.
Bryce Foster was highly rated and wanted to go to Texas. He also had/has Olympic Shot Put aspirations (Ryan Crouser, World Record holder, Olympic Gold Medalist and NCAA Champion went to Texas).
His momma made him go to A&M. Perhaps his focus has been compromised? He a physical specimen that mauled kids in HS, but you need more than that at this level.
OL is not the position to promise true freshmen significant playing time. Only the very best play at a high level as freshman, and those guys are not in College Station.

I was saying in the game thread that the right side of the line was getting their asses handled.
I think there were at least 6 low snaps from the Center.

Some of those guys cost a lot of money too.

James Pearce was whipping that dude’s arse all afternoon. He’s quickly become the best pass rusher Tennessee has had in years

Those are pass blocking only grades, not overall grades

I saw it. He literally beat every play.

Blocks were there, just need to execute.
F me.

“Guys were in position but just didn’t execute”
Fulmer was famous for “we are going to look at the film and work like heck to get better” God I hated that. That’s one of things I like about Huepel, he just says when they screw up.

My favorite is the classic fourth and one, let’s have our center step on the QB’s foot while we run something completely mind fricking stupid instead of a QB sneak.

Byron Young was really good last year as well but this kid is probably our best since Derek Barnett.

Max Johnson was pressured on 25 of 39 (64.1%) dropbacks vs. Tennessee, per PFF. A&M has never had a pressure rate that high since PFF started tracking that stat in 2014.
Standard rush- 15 times
Blitzing- 10 times
Aggie OL surrendered 11 QB hits as well. They are fortunate that Johnson is still healthy.
