Anytime a university has an Olympic athlete competing, is a huge recruiting pitch. Medaling is icing in the cake. Congrats Aggies!
Olympic medal > any pro sports title in the states.

Who the hell names their daughter "a thing"? Athieng is the better version and they should have kept the African version.

A Texas university person. They are mental about anything Aggie.

It was actually Leland McElroy. I was there in Tiger Stadium that night and would’ve downvoted you too ;-)
We were talking about the 93 game in Kyle when Rodney took it around end for an 80 yard TD run. Leeland's run was pretty sweet but that was at Death Valley in 1994.
As I say this, I fully expect downvotes.

She was born in the US, but her parents are Sudanese. So I assume it’s meaningful to them.
FYI, her name is pronounced uh-thing moe.

please give the school yard bully 20 seconds with that name, and think about the relentless bullying. It just reminded me of Bill Burr's bit about his kid taking acting lessons at a public school with those animals. is he going to do that? no he is going to send them to an art school where they will be safe and sound.

Congrats
I meant to turn that on this morning and missed it.
One of my former runners was in in the Olympic trials with her but didn't make finals. Hoping to see her in Paris in 2024 as she's only 21.

They should have named her what they named her and it is beautiful and we love her for it.
Athing is a quality Aggie and American

In a previous post he told you… he said he was gay and this is how some of those people act…
Being shittey toward everyone and everything isn’t his fault …he just can’t help hating the world. It probably has a deep psycho source.

Sydney and Dalilah both looked impressive thus far...should be a good race.

Yeah. I don't see what kind of beef anyone could have with Athing. She is a pleasant person.
