I think OU and Ok St are legally bound to each other conference wise.
West
Missouri
Arkansas
Oklahoma
Oklahoma St
South
Texas A&M
LSU
Mississippi
Mississippi St
Central
Alabama
Auburn
Tennessee
Vanderbilt
East
Kentucky
South Carolina
Georgia
Florida
These would most likely be the four divisions ... the weakest being the west

Only thing about that is that the west would have no original SEC members in it, would be a little screwy.

Also How any school wants to be in the PAC12 and BIG10 after what they pulled baffles me. But then if any school would do it, Texas would.
I could see however some sort of break up of the PAC12 realignment disburse between the BIG10 and BIG12
PAC 12 is on life support financially. But it has better brands the BIG12

I would LOVE for College Football to do this. No leagues, no conferences, just the best 32-40 something schools playing each other in an elite league.
Oh and kick out Vandy before Mizzou

If the SEC
were to expand two more teams these would be the choices..KU/KSU For obvious reasons strengthen SEC basketball by adding KU and KSU would be a good football fit or go big Notre Dame (Irish you want to be the best you have to play with the best) and Nebraska both have national followings plus Nebraska wants out of BIG 10 and they need a shot in the arse.

What current west team would move to the east ? Or does either of OU or Texas move east ? We like the idea of a super conference but for that to happen, I think the playoffs would have to be expanded.

I'm sure Bama says this about the west every year.
Have we lost to an east team in the last 10 seasons???

OU in SEC?
WHY do you want to make the toughest conference even tougher?

I will finish that for you.
OU and Texas would be huge pains in the arse to deal with. Colorado and Nebraska committed football suicide to escape OU and Texas. A&M and Mizzou leaped at the miracle escape the SEC offered even though they both threw away their biggest rivalry to do so.
People are spoiled here in the SEC and we tend to forget the SEC's unofficial motto of everybody in the pool does not hold true for the rest of the P5. Particularly the Big 12.
Besides, OU is tied to the dead corpse of OSU. Texas is a dead corpse.

Not sure where Tom Herman is with his buyout but I can hear the clock ticking down on this pretender.

Who does the SEC pick up? I say Oklahoma and West Virginia.
Its all about the TV audience/revenue. You can make a argument for OK but allegedly they have a package deal with OSU. West Va doesnt have anyTVs so theres that...
We splitting $40 mil plus Tv revenue now so if you bring in weaker draws then the pie gets smaller. The next big market additions would likely be Charlotte and Richmond/DC

Viewership and TV markets matter less and less and brand equity matters more and more.
Ask the BIG10, yeah they have Rutgers and Maryland big markets, but has that made their league more appealing to a national audience? They would have been way better off adding Teams that contribute to the overall brand.

wish. Sankey will probably hold out to try and get some lame teams from the ACC like NC and Virginia
You mean programs that are both south and East on the map? For the southeastern conference? Well that seems absurd

I could get behind this if we could keep Ole Miss and LSU on the regular schedule too.

Agreed. Tejas always wants more of the pie. They’d want to keep long whoren network and have their part of secn... let the pac or wtf ever have em. Not sure about ou... they’re fun for inter conference games but seem a little whiny assed overall... I can see them making stupid assed comments like wanting to move the sec offices out of Birmingham or some shite ...

This is why I think OU and Kansas for basketball would work.
We don’t add 2 top notch teams in football to add to an already killer league schedule, only 1. But, we get one blue blood basketball school with KU and traditionally great one in OU.
The OU and OSU package deal would be a killer for this. However, there was some rumor that is not as concrete as previously thought.
