Yes the Oline will have growing pains but they’ll be older guys who can get it fixed quickly opposed to young players that would have to strain to get better. And the juco corner who’s currently #2 in his position will have a bigger impact than most think. He’s really a shutdown corner and watching his film he plays some of the best WRs juco has to offer and holds his own. He’s got great length, the only thing I didn’t see was how he is in run support. He and Chris Thompson the safety will have an immediate impact I think. Auburn’s also in it for 2 pretty good 4star DBs that would almost definitely provide immediate help as well.

Exactly Gus himself is putting money into the new football only facility. He knows unless he just drops to complete shite he’s not going anywhere any time soon. Fans can complain all they want but he’s going nowhere and I don’t have a problem with it tbh. You won’t find another coach who isn’t already in a good position at another school that could come to auburn and be successful every year with the schedule they have so for now Gus is about as good as it gets

Don't be salty. Look at the average rating. That will generally tell you where you will finish.

And we've got damn near 4 decades of history to show us where you WON'T finish.

Again, don't be salty. I did not say anything about UGA winning a title. The OP said he thought GM was doing a better job recruiting than usual. But he is not.

Yes he is doing better than usual Gus has never had the #6 class before the season even started. Speak facts not opinions

If you are going to sign a Top 10 class in the age of the early signing period, you better have most of it in place before the season starts. This ain't rocket science

I too am surprised. I am surprised he is still their coach after last season.

I think if either transfers it’ll be gatewood. But even then I think he’d stay a year and if Bo does well he’ll see it’s probably best for him to leave. If Joey starts I don’t think Bo will have a problem waiting his turn, he’s been an Auburn fan his whole life and is following in his dads footsteps, his dad also waited his turn so everything leads me to think bo won’t be transferring

If Bo wins the job, I think Joey will transfer, but I think Bo stays at least a year regardless. If Gatewood does not start, it probably doesn't make sense for him to wait behind a true freshman. In Nix's case, it's unrealistic for a true freshman to expect to be the starting QB most anywhere.

No one said it’s was rocket science. I clearly said this was Gus first time having a class this good so early in the process.

Fair assessment. I think AU admins are partly to blame here too. They forced Gus to give up play calling. At the end of the day, he is/was an elite OC and very green/average CEO type HC. Hopefully retaking those duties over will help.
