I can't speak for Tom Herman.

BUT bigxii fans in general all have the same opinion of a pro-pro-style power run game.

They feel like their teams are better personnel against that type of offense. OU said the same thing going up against us last season. I've read the same from Texas fans this season.

The delusion is real.

UGA has had OL problems most of the year, but that doesn't appear to be the case anymore. And yes, Texas sold out to stop the run vs OU after giving up more than 200 yards in the first meeting. So instead, they gave up more than 500 yards and their vaunted (114th-ranked) secondary got torched

Now, consider that with UGA's talent and balance. I honestly think UGA could run effectively against 9 man fronts, and daring Fromm to beat you doesn't sound like a very effective plan

It certainly isn't smart to give players locker room material. Usually it's the players that say stupid crap

“So, yeah, there are some teams that do like to throw it in our conference,” Herman said. “But the last three games that we played, being Iowa State, Kansas, and then Oklahoma, are all in the conversation for very difficult teams to defend running the football.”

No offense, but Herman is the damn dumbest "smart" person I've ever met

How is any of what he said incorrect there?

It's Aggie fans wanting to make it seem that Texas is disrespecting the SEC

Nothing he said is really that bad. You aren't going to say "this is the greatest rushing attack i've ever seen" because that looks bad too

Actually, it's more Aggie fans laughing at the dumb shite Herman says and does. He's truly quite the "idiot" for someone Mensa. We all hope he gets a lifetime contract at Texas

He needs to stick with kissing his players before the game, because analyzing run games isn't his thing.

UGA's OL looks WAY better in the last month than it has all year long - I love watching them play, though I am obviously first and foremost an Aggie fan

That’s fair. But we were also the #1 rated OL in PFF before the OU game and were finalists for best OL in the nation, and 3 out our top 4 guards didn’t play in the SECCG. It’s crazy what OL depth will do for you.

I expect us to run formidably against Texas. I just don’t think what Herman said was that ridiculous. You can’t just bash the other teams you’ve played during the season. I think he knows we’re a better running team than the ones he listed, except maybe OU.

Ah, so funny to see OU fans standing up for Mensa and Texas. Did they send you to do so, or did you come by on your own?

That was scheme. Kirby was playing in pass prevent, keeping extra guys in pass coverage. We were willing to give you 6 yards per carry on the ground as long as we didn't let Mayfield rip us up for 800 yards in the air as well as spying him for his own running ability.

That one offensive touchdown y'all had in the 2nd half was neat.

UGA ran the frick all over y'all though. 317 yards at an average clip of 9.3 yards per rush.

I heard that Fowler's "SONY MICHEL WILL SEND THE DAWGS BACK HOME TO ATLANTA" still rings throughout the state of Oklahoma to this day.

What's he supposed to say? He can't be honest and say I hope they don't want to be their or this will get ugly. The truly Mensa thing to say, would have been nothing.

He shouldn't have said anything - or used coach speak. Giving a more talented team motivation - Texas had a chance if UGA wasn't interested

Not to defend UT, but you guys act like there's no talent in Texas.

UT amongst them all pulls in all the Texas talent, more than A&M. Georgia is not going to run over Texas, at all. Heck, Matt Stafford is a Texan.

You guys got smashed by LSU, Georgia definitely proved they're vulnerable.

Crazy that Matt Stafford being a Texan (and graduating HS in 2006) means UGA isn't going to run on Texas in 2019. Interesting times we live in.
