Or maybe, if Texas does the impossible and upsets GA, GA will have just run out of time.

You silly Aggie fricktard.

Texas has talent at the skill positions, but very little on both the DL and OL. We have won pretty much every in-state battle in the trenches for the elite recruits - an effect of being in the SEC.

They have a ton of DB's and WR's though, which is fine for the BDF.

Amazing intro, solid reasoning throughout this piece, excellent use of examples, and your conclusion really brought everything back together and sealed the deal.

I think most Georgia fans are being too dismissive of Texas, similar to the way we were with OU last year (although that OU team was better than is Texas this year, and we're probably a hair worse).

Texas fans are probably too overconfident as well.

But that is pretty much the case, for every team ever in a bowl game. Both sides are going to be more confident than they should be.

Crazy that Matt Stafford being a Texan (and graduating HS in 2006) means UGA isn't going to run on Texas in 2019. Interesting times we live in.

Stafford was a mean middle linebacker in peewee football. Those Texans are no joke.

Your right Herman and Kirby are buddies. Close buddies in fact. That makes this thread even funnier.

Well, seeing as Kansas put up something like 40 points on Texas' conference champion, that should be very worrying for the Longhorns.

I think Texas has a 25% chance of winning. I think most fellow Texas fans are probably there, with the really hopeful ones maybe at 33%.

Overconfident?

Please don’t give any football cred to someone who went to that school in okie because they couldn’t get into a Texas school

Is there a limit to the time a team has? How much does each team get, and how close are we?

We said it last season and we ran all over you.

Can you not follow a conversation? the point was that he insinuated Texas could stop our rushing attack.

Now. how well do you think Oklahoma stopped our rushing attack?

Literally nobody has said anything about texas' or Oklahoma's offense. but when that is all a team has, I guess you stear the conversation in that direction every chance you get.

Crap, man. Read it again. He was saying BIG 12 teams think their defenses are suited to stop pro style offenses.

Not to defend UT, but you guys act like there's no talent in Texas.

Only when BIG 12 teams and Texas act like there is no talent in the SEC.

I don't think so either, but our running game is a bit better than Kansas' and Iowa State's.

Heck, Matt Stafford is a Texan.

Not sure what your point is? Everybody knows that Texas (the state) has talent. It is one of the Big 5 for high School talentstates:

California
Texas
Florida
Georgia
Ohio

Are you under the impression that Texas gets all the talent? because last time I checked Texas A&M has the #3 recruiting class in the country right now. Texas is at #7 and they have one more player committed than A&M.

I'd replace Ohio with Louisiana. Ohio puts out some great talent, but Louisiana does so more consistently.

Edit: I'd also give California an asterisk. It does well with QBs, less so with non-skill positions.

Herman is such an irritating twerp. I hope Georgia cream these turds. Texas has no business being in such a respectable bowl game.

Unless Georgia comes out flat (like Alabama in the Sugar Bowl against Utah and Oklahoma), they’ll run up and down the field on Texas.

I phrased that poorly. What I really meant to say was that fans almost always think their team will do better than what Vegas has predicted. It’s a very natural thing to do.
