The last time Georgia, Alabama, and Texas all lost on the same day was October 26, 1996, before it happened on October 17, 2026.

Absolutely shocking day in the SEC (and the nation). Is Ole Miss and Kentucky #1 and #2 in Sunday’s SEC power rankings??

Wildest day of college football I’ve ever seen. First time EVER 5 of the Top7 lost in same day. Craziness! Georgia, Bama, Texas, Notre Dame, Indiana… just wow. And Miami barely escaped in 2OT. And Missouri and MissSt. And the nation’s longest winning streak (Indiana) comes to an end. And UK beats OU. And a great nightcap with Oregon-Nebraska to end the day.

At least LSU avoided the carnage… for now.

Later in 1996. Texas led by QB James Brown defeats Nebraska opening the door for UF to face Bama in SECCG with national title berth on the line.
Of course UF went on to whoop Bama and FSU to win the 1996 national title.

Honestly Miami really should’ve made this list too.

Also the first time #1 lost to unranked in consecutive weeks since 1990

Not to mention the nation’s longest winning streak came to an end yesterday! (Not an upset, but Indiana)

And that ending was wild in itself with the foot barely out of bounds

Oklahoma also lost yesterday and on October 26, 1996 en route to a 3-8 season.

We will be back in the top ten for one week when Heupel has his annual, “we know it’s coming” let down game. We will make Sellers look like a Heisman front runner.

Nebraska should have beat Indiana last week. I watched them throw the game away.

BYU attempted to eat their own foot on the stupid fake punt.

Poor officiating across all games and wild finishes. This week was amazing to watch.

I’m fortunate to have watched some with my dad which made it more special.

I think we’re going to see more of this every week until the playoffs get here.
