Weird how Clemson only played 2 ranked teams in the regular season in 2012, and still couldn't win their division.

I'm sure it's not skewed or anything from playing two triple option teams.

Your rush defense sucked, period.

No one is saying it can't improve or that UGA as a whole sucked, but Buffalo ran for 200 yards in Athens.

Hey, irrelevant comment meant to deflect from the original question.

Bravo sir. Well done.

That's probably comparable to this year's matchup b/w y'all and UGA. Two "high powered" offenses going at it, and an O/U line at 65+.

Will UGA's defense in '13 be better than Tenn's in '12, that's the question?

Yup, offenses are pretty even, does Clemson or UGA's defense improve the most? That's what will decide it.

Special teams could as well, either a big kick from Catman or a big return from Marshall.

Did neither Vanderbilt nor Ole Miss finish in the top 25 last year? I thought they were really good teams... both of whom got mouthfricked by UGA last year.

Why don't those wins count?

Correct, with 4 starters out and 3 of the 4 were high round draft picks and it caused us to go from about 45 to the high 60s.

Is it really that weird or difficult to comprehend losing once to a team within your division who also lost once and them holding the tiebreaker over you?

I know this stuff can be confusing, but I was hoping a UGA fan could understand something like that. Nice flame attempt though, aleast try to make them clever next time.

Vanderbilt finished in the Top 25. Ole Miss did not.

LOL.
It's about strength of schedule.

Who would you want in a big game?

Let's have Boyd play some more big games and see what he can do.

Mark Richt is 15-2 against the ACC. Even when they are ranked... they are creampuffs.

If it's about wins, we'd be in the ACC.
If it's about playing tough football...

4 on the OL
1 at QB
1/2 at WR/TE, however you look at our primary set

So probably 6-7ish

I can't believe I'm arguing in favor of Clemson here, but how much did being in the SEC help LSU against Clemson?

And don't give me that "they didn't even want to be there" crap.

Why not? They got screwed out of going to the Cotton Bowl.

In terms of big plays allowed, our defense sucked last year. Not gonna debate that one... for the first half of the season, anyway.

We just had issues all the way around. Low on depth on the d-line and in the secondary, guys suspended, guys playing soft and saving themselves for the NFL, etc.

2011 was a much better unit with a lot of the same players.

Because after a week that should be out of the players heads? Shitty coaching, if not.
