Why are you on an SEC site talking about endowments? How about win something first, that way when you are talking endowments it might actually mean something

Texas also has 5 different medical branches (most notably MD Anderson) as well as 2 other emerging schools in South Texas that get a piece.
If you are arguing that when all is said and done that the Austin campus gets a bit more than A&M then that is correct, the point though is the gap isn't nearly what is perceived. The Branches for the A&M System are either very small or are effectively a part of the main campus.
Of course none of that really matters to the OP because this is supposed to be about the SEC and not about whether or not Texas has a few more bucks than A&M when both schools have the largest endowments of any other public Universities in the country. Go home sip.

Ark's number is off compared to how other programs calculate their endowment, they like Auburn only report what's in their general Endowment fund. UAT's not that high as that's counting for the entire UAT system, which includes a medical school.
Not sure how accurate US News is, but the endowment for UA was $617,611,309 in 2013 and Auburn's was $526,128,048.

Ahh, an endowment thread

Auburn's is around 610 early last year. This new fund raising campaign will put it right at the 1bn mark. When split out alabama and Auburn's is neck and neck. Sadly both have ho ered just above the Mississippi programs. Not meaning anything bad about that just there's no reason for it to be as low as it is.

frick you. Your shitty, grotesquely overrated institution gargles chunky aardvark semen compared to DADDY A&M.
...and we do it with HALF THE RESOURCES!!!!
You are also ahead of schools like Georgetown & Yale, because payscale.com relies on people to input their own salary data, with no verification.
It's really kind of sad. THIS is the kind of thing you beat your chest about. I feel bad for you. I hope A&M wins a national championship in football before you die. I'm not optimistic, but I hope it happens.

too bad championships are invaluable.

It is something SEC programs as a whole need to focus on heavily. There is a coming education bubble that will pop and it will be interesting to see how many programs handle it.
Auburn finally got its head out of its backside and started to work on its endowment. Also endowments help when building, it gets you cheaper financing or allows you to finance more thus using existing money that was raised in other areas.
We love to talk about sports but a university's ultimate goal is to educate people for the workforce.

You are a typical sip arse-clown from a university that granted a degree to Vince "Radio""Wunderlich 6" Young.
We can always find an opinion one way or another, but the reality is, the two schools are pretty much equal. The glaring difference is that our grads get oaid more and your school has twice the resources to work with. What an incredible waste that university has become. No wonder there is such a push to cap tuition, with all the law school corruption and waste on the fourty acres, who could be balmed?

The 2 links I posted, USNWR and the London Times, are the gold standard when it comes to university rankings.
You posted a link that has UTEP ahead of Harvard.
Prayers sent.

Holy shite, why the frick are you posting here?

Instead of posting opinions from a bunch of politically motivated jackasses, why don't you give something objective to measure. I did earlier.
Truth is there is no difference. You arrogant shite-fricker like to pretend there is, but all objective metrics prove otherwise.
And you corrupt money wasters have DOUBLE the resources.
Pathetic.

That is what I am arguing.
The University of Texas at Austin alone gets one-third of the PUF investment proceeds, which is equal to the entire A&M System eligible schools' one-third.
That includes College Station, Prairie View, Tarleton, Galveston, a medical school (aren't you adding pharmacy?), the ag extension service, the state transportation lab, etc.
You also noticed from my graphic that UT System's 2/3 PUF share (mostly construction and academic programs, not the additional excellence funds) is indeed allocated to schools like UT Dallas, San Antonio, the medical schools... yes.
Does College Station get the lion's share of the A&M System's one-third? I guess if they are screwing the other schools that are supposed to get some, and neglecting the concept of a "system" where not everyone can go to the main campus, as in your case is College Station.
Oh, wait. That is exactly what you are doing so you can run about and brag about having a higher enrollment than UT Austin while turning your school into a diploma mill.
Wow, you guys are such babies. Enjoy your dyke president.

You have no idea how sad I was to see the Aggies infest this board. I joined in 2008, it was fun to read for an outsider. Now it's just one embarrassing dick-flop after another.
