Because of lack of strength in schedule, 8-2 going into a 2 game losing streak.

Loses to one of the Mississippi’s, Auburn, Alabama, and LSU.
Of course an Aggie mid season flop against the Gamecocks is possible with a 7-5 (3-5).

Are you sure that's not Bama's schedule?
If Jimbo loses more than three games with that schedule, then A&M should hire the best lawyers money can buy to try to find a way not to pay the man.
L's to Auburn, Bama and LSU. Possible tough matchup with State in Starkpatch. Other than that, you should be able to make a nice bowl game in Shreveport or something.

Mississippi State, Auburn, South Carolina, and Ole Miss are all losable games. Not saying you will lose all , but I think a split is very likely.

Just remember, it may look easy as hell, but its not a given, look at what happened to Mizzou this year. I had them going 8-0 in their first 8 games.... that didn't work out that well with this easy schedule:
