It is when the coach with the buyout is running your program into the ground.

Options limited due to Jimbo contract
Calls were received and read but the bottom line Bjork was limited due to the contract with Jimbo. Jimbo failed and was arrogant, Do not know the specifies but I bet this contact has incentives?

Elko was determined to have the ability and with the Aggie backing could he win. Does he have the skills is the question.

So is Mike Elko's 1st HC job at Duke?

1st season wasn't bad @ 9-4, last year, this year they went 7-5

This alter is not the brightest bulb in the room. Right Daniel?

Elko will have solid defenses so I am not worried about that. I've not followed Duke so I'm not sure how he will perform on offense.

I would just like to point out that aggy shouted down Stoops who went 7-5 in the SEC and just beat Louisville....

for Elko who went 7-5 in the ACC and got shut out by the same Louisville team

9 wins is tied for 2nd most in a single season for Duke.

They only returned 20-25% of the starters this year. Then lost 2 QBs to injury.

Ross Bjork LIED to them.
He just gave a giant middle finger to the Aggie Football team team and the entire fanbase.

They will FIRE his skank arse for coming home to CS with Elko in his hands

But also it really was a fan revolt like Tenner back in the day

Uh, it's Stoops who is trying to save face. The deal was done until the aTm Board of Regents rejected it after fans revolted on social media.

Are you sure about that? What did he just accomplish with a qb playing out of this world?

Honestly not a bad hire

That said, it’s not overly inspiring either when you consider what the SEC is about to be

But it does make sense. Will be interesting to see how well he can recruit

With the way aggie fans were so united last night in their total opposition online on twitter, reddit, and texags to hiring Stoops, he knew he was a dead man walking before his feet ever touched ground in Texas.

Whatever makes you feel better about Stoops' attempt to get out of Dodge.

Yep. Aggie fans in effect nixed the deal. Scared the Board of Regents into rejecting it.

Bjork blindsided big donors and the Board is what happened
according to a reliable source the board and big wheels all agreed and a verbal with Fisch on Wednesday, then Bjork went behind everyones back and started talking to Stoops this lines up with most saying the Stoops talk started around Thanksgiving, He then negotiated with Stoops and agreed to make him the HC without most of the board or donors EVEN KNOWING People are pissed There are a lot of very angry donors who are considering stopping their donations. also according to the source, Bjork is definitely on his way out AD. Sounds like Bjork did this as an FU to Aggie athletic department

it is hard to believe how fricked up this is

So you paid 75m to Fisher and then replaced him with a coach that coaches football at a basketball school , where he loses 4-5 games a year in the ACC. And are expecting him to take you to the top of the SEC lmao.

Elko is a good coach. Elko is not a coach you pay a $75 million buyout to go hire.

That’s pretty much it in a nutshell.

It amazes me that you have opinions but you don’t watch football.

Duke was unstoppable over the first 5 games and took major injuries. At full strength they beat Clemson convincingly.
