A&M is in trouble at LBer

We started the year with only 4 LBers who we could trust to have on the field, and one of those (Anthony Hines) was lost to a season ending injury against Clemson. In short, we have to get through the year with 3 pretty good LBers, but nobody else. I expect we'll play a lot of nickle and let a safety play the Rover LBer spot with great regularity, but if anyone else gets hurt, we're screwed.

As each game goes on in the season, Jimbo will be earning that $$$ more and more.

I just looked at your 2018 recruiting class and didn't see a single linebacker listed. How does that happen when you're already shorthanded? Or did you have massive LB'er attrition in the offseason?

LSU is shuffling the OL around already, and have put a 4 star DT recruit on the OL.

V. Jackson can play LB but he wanted to play RB instead. That might change now.

Can you at least now admit the Chief is a frickshow of a DC and recruiter? And also understand LSU was NOT butthurt he went to aTm...we legit just wanted him sued for being a fricking low class thief.

We lost one LBer who we were expecting to provide depth, but it turns out he's a lying, racist d-bag, so we're fine with him gone. We have wondered why we didn't bring LBers in last year. I can't really answer that, except to say that by the time Jimbo got going, there might not have been any available who the staff liked. We don't produce enough LBer in Texas anymore, since that type of athlete is being put on the offensive side of the ball nowadays in Texas high schools.

A little bit of both.
Brian Johnson, our one linebacker recruit, has been moved to safety due to both personal preference and coaches' assessment.
We all know the tale of Santino Marchiol.
Ikenna Okeke was lost to an injury in fall camp.
At this point, Larry Pryor, last year's backup free safety, is now at Rover.

I never like seeing players get hurt like this. Happens to most teams, some more than others. Players will step up. Perhaps the 12th man could be utilized?
