I agree it will probably be much less of an issue for me next year playing LSU, but I think deep down a part of me will always miss playing Texas. Just too much history, it would be like Michigan and OSU cutting of their rivalry.

frick the rest of those teams, though.

For me it is Nebraska.

Those games were always fun.

As a Michigan fan, I know exactly what you mean.

However, as much vitriol as the Wolverines and suckeyes have for each other, they DO respect the rivalry. Something our friends in austin historically have not.

I miss playing them too, but frick them for using the game to bribe us into kowtowing to their whims once again.

I do t miss not being on tv. I don't miss shirty fans and half empty stadiums. I don't miss having to play schools I don't give a shite like Iowa state and Kansas. Umm... Well. I guess I miss big OOC games (ark, Miami, VT, Clemson, ND) but once scheduling settles we should get those back. Plus the SEC is a little unfamiliar so it's like the OOC games for the first couple years.

Hmm. Maybe the ability to drive a short distance for a road game but that's about it.

Absolutely nothing about the conference, schools or anything like that.

Winning lol

A&M has done more winning in the SEC than they ever did in the Big 12, so that's out the window.

But to answer OP: rivalries. I just don't give a shite about any of you yet, at least not on a personal level. It's cool to host teams like Georgia and Alabama, but there is no history there. It'll take a while.

It's easily Nebraska. Especially since we only played OU an average of once every two seasons after the Big Eight expanded. Nebraska was there to ruin our season every year (until the last few years).

I miss absolutely nothing. I would however like to swap the pigz for KU, they're just as shitty on the football field but their girls aren't as ugly, and they actually play good basketball. Downside, meth would be harder to come by.

I miss the passion fans put into certain games, but I hate those teams. I have mixed, drunk feelings about this.

Completely disagree. I live in MO--their women outclass the kansas girls and it ain't close, sorry.

For football: the Nebraska game.
For basketball: the kansas games.

But I can't say I miss anything else. Still much happier overall being in the SEC.

I miss the nuanced obsession with A&M weirdness.

Other than that nothing.

the ritual of playing on Thanksgiving. Last year felt off because there was no game to go to.

Now that LSU will be at CS every other year, I'm all good.

I thought I'd miss having a fanbase like Tech that vastly overrates their own program and is made up of almost entirely lower-class human beings whose lives revolve around absolutely hating us in a hilarious and wildly obsessive fashion, but now we have Arkansas, which fills that role perfectly.
