If it was basketball you'd surely say the team that went further in the tourney right not the regular season? Well, same thing pretty much to me.

It's an interesting comparison, but 0-2 in CWS is better than not making it.

IMO, I'd say Arkansas had the better season than A&M. They got their shite together in March/April, took the series from A&M and kept going all the way to Omaha.

A&M was the horse that comes out the gates fast and then is passed in the final turn.

But, A&M has the 2015 Houston College Classic Championship. Maybe that counts for more than I'm allowing?

Well we took 2 of 3 at A&M, made Omaha when they didn't, beat the #8 national seed to get there while they lost to the #7 national seed.

Definitely the Hogs.

I agree, but that's just part of the game in all sports. We got shafted last year, so karma made up for it.

So winning the head-to-head, going to Omaha and going 0-2 and, in the process beating the #8 seed ....

... that's better than a 50 win season, losing a very tough heart-breaking Super Regional to the #7 seed?

Remember, both teams were 5-3 in the post season and the RPIs of those 8 opposing teams were slightly in favor of A&M - meaning they played tougher teams in their regionals and it was only made close because Arkansas bolstered theirs with two losses in Omaha. Still ... two losses and they were neither close or heartbreaking.

Just playing devil's advocate.

Once SEC play started...

Arkansas: 7-2-1 in SEC series
aTm: 6-3-1 in SEC series

Regionals
Arkansas @ Stillwater went 3-0 vs. RPI 11 Oklahoma State, 44 Oral Roberts, 56 St Johns

aTm @ home went 3-1 vs. RPI 158 Texas Southern, 29 Cal, & 19 Coastal Carolina

Super Regionals
Arkansas won 2/3 vs. #8 National Seed
aTm lost @ #7 National Seed

Head to Head
Arkansas took 2/3 AT aTm

whoever made it to Omaha or went further in Omaha, had the better season.

Convenient use of heartbreaking there when we had a runner on 3rd in the top of the 9th and failed to score and then lost on a walk off base hit in the CWS.

We had the better season. Basically everyone would agree. World Series is the World Series.

Had they won the SEC or something, it may be more of a discussion.

Hawgeye ... you just made the best argument.

Question though ... both of y:all had a series tie, but not against one another?

Both teams had a really good season. A&M started off hot and then cooled way down. Arkansas started off ice cold and then heated up down the stretch until our pitchers were struck down with injuries. Maybe a slight edge to Arkansas in that we made the CWS but I'd call it a push.

All in all neither team has anything to be ashamed of.

No we won 2/3 at A&M.

We tied Tennessee because they poor and wouldn't stay to play the final game.

No, Arkansas took 2/3 games at College Station

Arkansas went 7-0-1 in league series after losing it's March 19 series to LSU.

aTm went 1-3-1 in its last 5 league series.

Arkansas was hurt in the RPI because winter weather forced the cancellation of Arkansas hosting Cal. Instead, Arkansas hosted a team with an RPI in the 200's. Overall, that killed the RPI ranking. Also, Trey Killian didn't start pitching this season until SEC play started.
