No, but that's probably the reason Del Conte hired him
actually he hired him because they worked together and Schlossnagle was one of the best coaches on the market

With a school that has the money like a&m has, he shouldn’t have even been on the market, but after all… it’s Texas: we take whatever we want from our little brothers and then laugh at them afterward

But yes, add Sorrell and this team is actually better than last year top to bottom. I know that whorns will skoff. But it is true.
I keep asking the question that most aggies seem terrified to answer: if a&m is better than they were in 2024, then they’re a 100% guarantee to win the national title, right?

How come y’all are too scared to answer this?

Great news for y’all but no one cares outside of College Station. I am a Tennessee fan and no one cares about our baseball NC outside of Knoxville. It’s just the reality of college baseball

Not really how baseball works in Texas. And certainly not true of CA baseball either.

It is insane how many select baseball offerings and private baseball academies in my city alone which is a suburb of Austin. Baseball here is a 365 day sport with insane support. That is my personal experience at least. But I also coach a select team and All-Star team every year and we wi hopefully follow this team into HS. Most turn 12 and 13 yrs old next year.

You obviously are a huge college baseball fan. You should know the answer.

I know the answer. I’m waiting to hear aggies

Yall seem so confident that the team will be better. Well, the only way to be better than 1 run away from the national title is to win the national title.

So you’re saying that the aggies are guaranteed to win the national title in 2025? Why are you too afraid to answer that?

Or because you’re too scared to admit you’re worse off without Schlossnagle. I mean it’s a pretty easy answer: if you’re so much better without him, then a&m is a guarantee to win the CWS in 2025, right?

Your silence and fear of answering the question speaks volumes

Pretty much expected to make Omaha. Still requires a measure of luck. But this team is quite honestly stacked from an offensive standpoint. Not a weak bat in the entire lineup. Every single player with an OPS North of .900, and many North of 1.00 …

Pitching is being addressed as well. If Prager comes back …

Only thing you are missing is an experienced head coach to engineer a title run.

Valid point, but I’d argue that there are plenty of indications the team was without said head coach as they made that run through the postseason.

Team says Earley coached them for the most part down the stretch. Schloss was angry and distracted. I really don’t think he wanted to make it that far so he could focus on his new job.

Who knows the truth. Seems like the kids believe in the new head man. We will see soon enough …

Anything can happen in baseball dude. TU got their coach and pitching coach heading into the sec. All I know is that the pressure on Schloss to win is now at a pucker level to get to the World Series almost every year and win a few along the way. Next season will be interesting for sure.

This seems like a post for the A&M board.

After a week of boasting about taking Schloss cause you are just sofa king blue blood and then seeing his plan of raiding A&M's talent derailing, you suddenly decide this topic belongs on the A&M board.

What a f'ing

Jace LaViolette said the following of Coach Earley a couple of days back (at :46): "He's been a head coach without being a head coach for the last 3 years"

Ryan Prager (at 11:50) alluded to rumblings as well: “We [pitchers] didn’t really interact with Schloss as much … when you’re in Omaha—and all the rumors going around—it can definitely cloud somebody’s mind.”

What’s the story with this comment? I keep seeing references to it but don’t know the back story. Anyone care to enlighten me?

“Scared” to answer an utterly impossible question? How the hell would anyone know the answer to that question, besides the Man upstairs, and be able to 100% guarantee who will win a national championship?

If any one of us could predict the future, we’d be day trading on Wall Street and living off of lotto tickets, not hanging out on tRant.
