Now if you said that Miss St was the dirtiest playing baseball team in the SEC I would agree with that statement!

Ron Pollk had more success at UGA than State.

More NCAA Tournament Appearences than any SEC Team. Keep trying

That's like kissing your sister. You essentially just said that no other program has kissed their sister more times than Mississippi State Baseball.

MSU gave a shite about baseball before it became cool to do so.
Yeah ... I guess that's why SC played for two national championships in the mid 70s. Miss State gave a shite before that? Asking for a friend.

Funny you're speaking Baseball. Since Georgia has one of the worst stadiums in college baseball.

Yet we've still won a national championship in the sport. And besides Vanderbilt, Mississippi State has the worst football stadium in the SEC.

I agree if you base it off achievements alone. But they do take baseball far more seriously than any other SEC program except for LSU and it's a close race in that category.
Holy shite that is one of the dumbest fricking statements I have ever read. As dumb as the fricking claim made that started this thread.
Get a fricking grip and get out to see some baseball at other SEC venues outside of the West.

This Sumter boy and NY Yankee great was a legend at South Carolina in the 1970's.

Holy shite that's two total fricktard statements in a row.

Your football team is playing for a NC in less than 48 hours and a MSU fan got you riled up about baseball?
Good lord man you suck at life and he ownes your arse.

But do I suck at life more than Mississippi State sucks at everything?

You are a black hole of suckage, MSU is simply a Hoover.

Mississippi State has had some great players and has a good overall history, but just hasn't been able to win it all. The success MSU had in the 80s really moved the needle in the SEC.
I subscribe to the 1985 theory. That may have been the best college baseball team ever assembled and they finished third at the CWS. Four future MLB all stars in the lineup. If State would have pulled that one off, I think they would have won a few more.
1989 team was loaded as well and didn't even make it to Omaha. Baseball is a funny game like that.
But Georgia won it in '90, and LSU won it in '91. MSU was still the best program, but those back to back natties changed things. By the time LSU won it in '96, LSU had taken the crown.

That's flat out wrong. Miss St hasn't won jack in Omaha, ever.

Hmm. Some say that Ron Polk was "the father of Southeastern Conference Baseball". But when USC was playing for the national title in the CWS in 1975, Polk was leading Georgia Southern to a 34-19 season, and nobody in the SEC knew who the hell he was.....

Well, considering USC wasn't in the conference in 1975 I'd say that 1975 CWS appearance did frick all to father baseball in the SEC.
