That's cool as shite. We could an build an even more awesome display. (Our would have to have columns, as that is a requirement in the building code for anything built on campus)

I live in Waco and can assure you that the live bear thing is pretty cool. Put one of the elite social clubs in charge of it; make it a tremendous honor to take care of the bear.

As cool of an idea as that is, the OM administration already wimped out by scrapping Colonel Reb. If they can't stand up to the PC police for something like that, I doubt they'd have the nuts to take on PETA or whatever other group of crazy liberals. I wish it would happen though.

I heard about this years ago. I'm shocked it was allowed to continue that long.
By the way, off topic, Southern Miss used to have a live golden eagle named Nugget. However, it died from mal-nutrition. They were told they wouldn't be allowed to have another live mascot.

Yea.. When you kill an endangered species, they kinda like to give you shite about it.
I think the story went the SGA President was supposed to make sure it was fed and watered every other day.. He went out of town, asked someone else to do it.. They forgot and the bird died..
