I get that and we should all always basically just have fun with it.
But with an SEC Championship and possible BCSCG / BCS game on the line, I just can't imagine talking like the result of the game doesn't even matter to me. My expectations would have changed at this point. I guess I'm greedy.

Don't get me wrong, it matters. All AU fans would rather have the W and a loss will sting. But even with a L, there's a legitimate shot at a BCS bowl for AU. When compared to the Bham/Nashville bowl we had our sights set on pre-season (even that was delusional to some), the sting is lessened dramatically.

If bama beats AU handily, I won't be surprised. Disappointed, but not surprised. Bama is really good. AU is just good.

I haven't seen Auburn fans going particularly crazy, except right after the miracle. I don't see lots of AU logos on the front page when I check in.
Right now, Auburn fans are mixed. Who wouldn't be thrilled with the turnaround we've had? The A&M and UGA wins have been especially sweet, especially after last year. So we're all enthusiastic.
A few Auburn fans are talking big, but I think most of us are just feeling proud and optimistic. I give Auburn about a 15% chance against Bama, but I'm hopeful. (I had the same thought when we went to College Station.)
