the hyped up teams you played are horrendous offenses and you gave up 17 pts to that juggernaut Owl O!

Something that everybody has overlooked in the Rice game was that we were without our top 3 LB's for the majority of that game. Morgan got tossed halfway through the first Q, Henry was serving a suspension from last year the first half and Pool got ejected in the 4th. They are the keys to our defense.

Also Texas hasn't looked like a horrible offense at all. Thompson is clearly better than Card though. Both Texas teams had a better RB than Georgia does.

Our Dline is massively underrated at this point. Everyone seems to ignore that they have been beating double teams and getting to the QB all year. Georgia's Oline is better but it's not like it's loaded with seniors with 3 years of starts under its belt.

Ignore that dude…he is still pissed about the 6 picks from last year. Those yahoos play Bama this week and he already wants to discuss Arkansas.

He’s big mad and they haven’t even lost again to Arkansas yet…

I'm interested to see how Daniels does against the drop 8. He is the most seasoned QB we have gone against so far.

Lol what? Arkansas won’t drop 8 into coverage. Are you crazy?

I saw someone mention earlier that Georgia's TE could play a big role. While true, I think it overlooks that Arkansas LB corps. Arkansas is almost always very good at covering TE's.

Are you a liberal?….this is the football equivalent of yelling nazi or racist when the facts get in the way of your feelings! What does a game a year ago with a first starter that didn’t have the luxury of a spring game have to do with your team this year?????

Hey idiot, Arkansas has beaten everyone they have played. That’s all they can do, do you remember what they’ve been through in 2018 and 2019. I’m sure they enjoy having games of significance to talk about.

Off the top of my head, UGA. Clemson and South Carolina are better opponents than Texas and A&M

Is UGA just a top ten or twenty defense for this year (like A&M), or are they generational?

It is going to take a true passing offense to find out. Pass to setup the run. Running on 1st down is not a successful strategy against the dawgs.

Arkansas has 1 WR capable of winning matchups. I dont know if the rest of the offense is capable. People underestimate the UGA DBs, though. We have excellent safety and nickel play. We have an all conference cornerback and #1CB recruit on the other side (rsFr coming off an injury).

quote:

Will Kirby allow our DBs to cover the Razorback's all world WR man to man at all?
uhh. Yes? The defense is nfl complicated. That means both man and zone coverages. The intent is to make the qb hesitate in the read (and that hesitation can be a win for the pass rush). Pittman was excellent at UGA in getting the offensive line ready to pass pro. But UGA is so multiple in our pressures, the question is if Arkansas leaves blockers in to help catch the wrecking ball coming back at them.
quote:

This honestly worries me with our offense. I don't really worry about rushing yardage numbers. I just want to see explosive plays and efficiency there. There have been a few splashes, but nothing jaw dropping yet.

You are looking at it wrong. We are hitting explosives on RPOs. That means the receivers are in route (and not setting up the blocks needed to spring big runs like in the past). A ton of our passing game is off the play action. A good majority of that is JT Daniels throwing on the RPO.

UGA should be feasting on offense with the tight ends and slot receivers. Again, most of that on RPO.

My concern for the UGA offense is red zone conversion. A tough Arkie defense can negate a lot of the yardage gains by standing tall in the red zone.

Arkansas needs to attack the linebackers in pass coverage. We are fast and hit hard. But that is the only way to get our discipline focus away from the running lanes and to get any semblance of balance against us (without balance, UGAs defense will cut the pass rush loose and gamble for the INT).

Arkansas' defense does a good job at disguising when they will have numbers in the box and when they won't, it's easy to see the 3 down lineman and think you have running lanes, but most of the time you don't. I think there were a lot of reads Calzada was asked to make and he either correctly checked to a pass play or incorrectly stuck with the play called but that's not on Jimbo.

I don't know enough to say if Calzada's reads were good, maybe that's the problem. I also agree that Jimbo should have called some run plays with no pass option but with a QB that is mentally sharp there should be a lot of free yardage available by making the right read pre-snap. Can't fault the coach for putting his offense in the best position to succeed.

I can't rewatch the game for my own sanity but I really only remember one terrible attempt at tackling, on the second Arky TD. The dude literally pushed him towards the end zone. Other than that play I didn't see a lot of missed tackles except for the last drive of the game, aggie Defense looked soft as hell while Arky ran the clock out.

Getting a little nervous about your game this weekend? lol. Arkansas hasn't played anyone uhh comapred to who Ole Piss. See it doesn't matter if we lose, we're suppose to lose, vegas says we're going to lose big, as well as some insecure sharkrebbear on trant. We have zero pressure we know we're leaps and bounds better than any team we've had since Petrino, for us that's a great step in year two of a head coach.

We also feel secure in the fact that we don't have a weird arse head coach that's trolls bama and sonority girls before winning anything, ever. I mean that dumbass has the fans believing they can troll another top ten team lol. Bama rolls you high school defense this week and I truly hope pick six corral doesn't get hurt.

Is Jefferson good to go? Because that to me is key. If he is out or hobbled like he was the entire second half of the Aggie game, then I don't see Arkansas having any chance. He is a poor man's Cam Newton.

Had they given it to him on 4th and 1 and had he not been hurt on the first drive of the second half, that game finishes around 40-10. Arkansas' offense did nothing after he was hurt. Before then he was just killing A&M's defense running and passing.

Love the OP's take.

I think this game, moreso than any other in the SEC this season, will be an old fashioned battle in the trenches. Which O-Line or D-Line will rule their time on the field. I expect Jawjas D-Line to win more than they lose and conversely, I expect the Hogs D-Line to do the same. I give Hogs a slight advantage at LB and secondary though.

I'm going to say a low scoring field position struggle. A turnover or two will probably be the difference. I think the winner wins by less than 1 score

Hmmm NOPE, we are an underdog and I just want to see us compete and not be a speed bump…..a win would be nice though…..but I am not running around saying our “weird troll of a coach” is the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ and that Ole Miss is some unbeatable team….we played Louisville, Austin Peay and Tulane…..where as you inbred Arkansas rednecks are lauding a man who has bigger flabby tits than Miley Cyrus and getting excited in beating two absolutely over hyped soft Texas teams….see the difference? If not then you are too far gone!
