Wrong

It will do more to hurt teams than help teams.

That is why they are called elimination games.

How does it hurt teams in an expanded playoff era? 5 SEC teams made it on their SOS and this will only make it stronger.

I'm sorry for my poor writing. I'm recovering from medical issues. I would appreciate any prayers.

I love reading about your thoughts on the schedule and football.

Prayers you get better. God will look after you and your loved ones.
======================================

It may turn out for thr best. Some teams "Alabama" that have been given the benefit of the doubt may have to earn it.....as they should.

Just wish every team "Notre Dame" had to play quality competition each week.

Bama's gonna have to work for it. As it should. ...but if Bama wins I'm sure some "LSU" will say "Refs did it"

----------------------
and if talking fooyball makes you feel better, skip over the bullshite.

I'll start by saying LSU looks like they got a bunch of great players.. Alabama had some good playes that stayd. Added a couple from the portal and another good group of freshmen. Time will trll which is the best way to go.

I think get good players wherever you can get em. The coaches have to work harder in college than almost anywhere.

......and again, hope you get well and enjoy life with sports. If you are a big sports fan, but there is more to life than sports and politics.

PS- took my grandson fishing on a Saturday.

. He doesn't care about football...yet.. and we had a great day.

I think he will remember the time yall caught some fish more than a sports game.. I remember fishing with my dad.

He was a big fan of sports. I think he just wanted ro put me ahead of other things.

Wish he was still alive. (my dad)

Do you mean education or government sponsored schooling?

Even private schools now rely on gov't grants to some extent but I understand your point. Public schools have served our nation well, but they are falling farther behind and no matter how much we spend, continue to do so. Education has to begin at home and it is not happening in urban and rural public systems.

The great games been there but the B1G fan bases about to get a glimpse of what a lot of SEC fans been saying for years. The B1G schedules looks pretty good, conference play going to be wild

To be honest I think if the 23 Georgia, 24 Ole Miss made the playoffs very possible they win it all and for this past season had Georgia and Oklahoma won I think it would been an all SEC natty

We stand out in the B1G and seem to be everyones big game. I know we still aren't the SEC with a legit big game every week of the season that does not revolve around 1 team for you have multiple exciting matchups all season.

NW schedule is wild with their BYE being in week 2. And Indiana BYE come the week before USC. Man i really like the direction the B1G went with the schedules this year.

The gap between the G5 and P4 has become too big not to have 9 conference games.

You can’t charge all the money they do for season tickets only to have 3 games be Citadel, Mercer and UL Monroe.

Come on....

It's THE Citadel dummy.

And we're not G5. We're FCS.

To be fair...Mercer is FCS as well.

I am excited about playing the best teams in CFB more often during the season without opt outs and bye weeks and healed injuries impacting the games like bowl games and playoffs. There is only going to be one national champion and a couple of real contenders every year. Recently those teams have played a weak arse regular season schedule and were healthier than those teams that hadn't played a weak arse schedule. That is not historically the case but it has happened recently. That probably means 9 SEC games makes SEC playoff teams less competitive in the playoffs....but the tradeoff is better regular season games, some at home, and a better regular season for the fans. Its great to win a natty, thats everyone's ultimate goal, but good football during the regular season is almost as enjoyable and 9 is better than 8.

There is also the specter of iron sharpening iron....anyone who thinks the SEC becomes permanently less competitive with 9 games is delusional. There is a reason SEC football dominated for so long....because not doing so is unacceptable. The window is open now for the Indianas of the world...anyone who thinks that lasts more than a few more seasons is dumber than a sack of hammers. The water in Tuscaloosa is the same as it is in Columbus....but the expectations are not.

I assume you're talking about the Citadel's Spirt flag, "Big Red"?

Technically, it was never a copy of the state flag. Notice anything peculiar ????

I love the big games but you do make a valid point about 9 games overstressing teams who already play a 8 game tough as nails sos. While I think Indiana was the clear #1, UGA had the tougher schedule.
