for screwing us with a 9 game SEC schedule while everyone else plays weaker and weaker schedules. This is what you get

Agreed. The SEC is beating itself up every week while other conferences have teams cruising through much easier schedules.
Then the pollsters look at the records and reward them for it. I like watching good conference games as much as anybody, but why should the SEC put itself at a disadvantage when nobody else has to?

We could try actually winning home games against “weaker” conference opponents.

how exactly did a ninth conference game cause this in week 7

The same pollsters and media talking heads will criticize the SEC for playing some FCS school but then turn around and vote for ND, Miami, Indiana, and a few others to be in the top 5 or 10.
I get nobody likes watching those games but they do serve a purpose. It’s like having a mini bye week. SEC teams can’t get up to play big game week after week after week. The level of focus, discipline, energy, and overall team health it takes to play an SEC schedule the past couple of years is just not sustainable from week to week. There is only one bye week a year and there are no breather games in the conference anymore. SEC teams need a cupcake game or two on the schedule nowadays just to try and survive the physical and mental pounding every school takes week in and week out.

If Greg could read he would be upset about this.

Only argument is you would play more bad teams throughout season to rest guys.
I don't think most teams did that and instead had terrible games in November.
So you are right

This has nothing to do with the 9 game schedule. This is the new normal folks. Some of you people just need to get used to losing a few games every season.

I don't understand this.
It's Sankey's fault that Bama, Texas and LSU were obviously overrated going into the season?

Nope. It is his fault that he guaranteed 16 additional losses to the conference though. Which will turn many 1-2 loss teams into 2-4 loss teams. There’s only so many Vandy’s and Atrkansas’s to go around to add that 9th game. In the big ten you have Illinois, Purdue, Rutgers, Michigan ST, Maryland and a few more. All pretty terrible
