UGA just destroyed a highly ranked team and they looked nearly flawless while doing so. UGA team and fanbase is all fired up. Meanwhile, UT just escaped the worst team in the FBS.

Entire media will pick UGA to destroy UT. Entire SEC Rant will pick UGA to destroy UT. But this is college football. When stuff like this happens, the result is usually the opposite. UGA has a long history of shitting the bed against UT in a situation like this.

Tennessee does have the talent on par with UGA. Maybe a different UT team will show up. Could this be the annual UGA letdown game? Because eventually UGA will UGA.

This UGA defense isn't the UGA defense of the past.

You see what happened to Miss State this week?

Tennessee is gonna upset UGA in Knoxville.

The good thing for UGA is that our defense is our strength (even though the offense was clicking last night) and defense often "travels" better than offense.

I definitely have PTSD from many years of seeing UGA have a letdown after big games, but this team does seem to have a different attitude than a lot of those teams...not chirping on the field, staying on message in interviews, etc. They are definitely taking a more businesslike approach to the game than any UGA team in recent memeory.

I'm usually a pessimist, but I think the Dawgs cover.

1/2 of our fan base is still suffering from CMRPTSD, and all of us are very nervous. Logically, I think UGA wins going away but psychological trauma is a bitch.

iChat going against that defense.

Man, I hope so. I don't usually pull for the Vols but I like the chaos of the East race and damnit, I want Butch to stay

The problem with your logic is flawed. MSU really isn't upper tier SEC whereas UGA is the best in the east.

For all of Butch's shortcomings as a coach, he rarely gets blown out at home. In the last three seasons, only Bama has beaten Tennessee by two or more scores in Neyland Stadium. Plus you never know how a true freshman QB will play on the road. Fromm was only 16-29 for 141 yards in their win over Notre Dame and Tennessee is a much tougher environment to play at. It will likely be a close game.

I get that UT can be a tougher environment than ND but may not be the case this Saturday. The orange faithful will be quick to vocalize their displeasure the second things go wrong now.

It was Mississippi state. Even though they were pretty good it was expected that Georgia would win. That is the way most Georgia people saw it. I don't think we are over confident because of this win. It was a good solid win. The way Georgia should beat state.
