Because TV networks have done everything in their power to shorten the games. They care about making money, not about the actual game on the field. Shorter games means they can show 4 games a day versus 3. More content for ad revenue.

Assuming you mean EVERY call, be prepared for 5 hour games every game. It's already 3 1/2 hours every game even with the running clocks.

100% this. Do it like the NFL does, where they are full time employees year round and aren't just roofers moonlighting on the weekends.

The sad thing about that is the NFL refs aren't much better.

Poor officiating is not a problem, it’s a feature designed to protect certain teams that are in the current graces of the league. Most of the time, it’s the same teams being protected.

Refs are human , they will make a mistake.

They review some plays that are deemed important with the idea that that will prevent the wrong game outcome.

But the subjective calls of PI and Holding are game changers and where things are not reviewed…….

Do need NFL quality refs for the SEC

It's hilarious to see Gumps crying about officiating.

You don’t know that they could transmit radio waves into a phone signal in the 40s? So of course the technology would be available in the late 60s? There was a slight delay in the signal but the technology was well established.

Our traffic engineers can’t synchronize traffic lights, we can’t tell a traffic light nobody is waiting to go through the intersection and there’s nobody waiting in the left turn lane.

And people think we actually put a man on the moon????

If someone asked you if we landed on the moon, you just say this. There was no infrastructure on the moon. It took infrastructure to get off of Earth. So how in the hell were they gonna blast off the moon with no infrastructure it's not even possible..move on

If CFB wants better officiating they’ll have to pay for it.

There is a reasonable solution to this.

Keep things the way they are but allow coaches to sacrifice a TO for a review of ANY call they think is wrong. So technically coaches would have six challenges per game if they are willing to sacrifice a time out if the replay officials rule against them.

This would allow them to overturn stuff like the Ryan Williams TD that got called back... Or allow the replay booth to assess a critical PI call.

It wouldn't lengthen the game that much because a lot of TOs would be sacrificed.

If they were serious about shortening the game they wouldn't have implemented the two minute warning thing.

This thread began as a paranoid schizophrenic meet-and-greet but fortunately turned into an actual college football discussion.

Lets leave the psychological observations to the professional fry cooks, shall we ?

(PS "paranoid " is no longer used in referring to one with schizophrenia. )

What's the gravity on the moon, like 1/6 of earth's? And they didn't blast off for home from the lunar surface do you think you've actually won an argument with the retardation you typed???
