With nd recruiting restrictions due to high academics .
And with ND playing as soft a schedule as they possibly could while being able to coast into the rankings on brand value alone.

Admittedly, I am curious to see how he does with blue chip recruits against a premier conference schedule. Not counting him out yet at all.

Jimbo Fisher’s record wasn’t pretty against the SEC before Aggie was it? I don’t see how that’s a relevant gauge anyway. Notre Dame is obviously a step down from the top half of the SEC.

Fixed it but it does appear to be a solid hire.

I remember you Alabama fans mocking Notre Dame in the playoffs two years ago when they lost their only game to Clemson. Then Alabama got drilled by Clemson 44-16

Kelly will have FAR superior talent at LSU to work with. Whether or not he succeeds is too early to know but he would deff have better talent.

Excluding last year, his SEC record while at Texas A&M is not a thing of beauty either.

Bad fit culturally. Worse than Harsin to Auburn. He’ll be Bama’s bich like all of LSU’s coaches.

Do you remember when we mocked him both times Bama beat the shite out of Notre Dame?

2021 16th 11-1
2020 7th 10-2
2019 16th 11-2
2018 13th 12-1
2017 9th 10-3
2016 28th 4-8
2015 8th 10-3
2014 32nd 8-5
2013 30th 0-4 all wins vacated
2012 7th 0-0 all vacated
2011 13th 8-5
2010 32nd 8-5

Average 18th in strength of schedule which isn’t bad considering.

He’s also averaged 7.66 wins a year.

Really went out on a limb there, huh?

Hows he do in the playoffs and bowl games when he runs into actual decent to great teams?
