Winning the SEC is a great accomplishment, and it's 100% confirmation that a team is really, really good.
But.. wins in Omaha > SEC Championships.
It's a whole different animal to get there and to compete against the best of the best. You also have to get extremely lucky to win it all.
Every single NC I can think of had at least some balls bounce their way that would have sunk their run if they bounced the other way.. it's just a big part of the game, and one reason why I love baseball so much..
You are seeking validation.. and that requires wins in Omaha.

I call 2 SEC Tournament Champs and 2 SEC Regular Season Champs is Hardware. Also being in Omaha twice in his first 5 years as a 1st time HC is pretty impressive considering what he had to work with when he showed up in Knoxville.
