4 are SEC.

This should show the committee that SEC damn well deserves more host spots and favorable treatment on selection day in years moving forward

This is why the SEC tourney is so much fun.

It's basically a 12 team Omaha.

UF’s run right now this postseason will do just that.

Kinda like what our win vs. Ohio State did for football

Yes and no. If you already have a national seed locked up, playing and burning arms in the SEC tourney serves no purpose.

This year, we used the SEC tourney as a tune up. As in, we locked up a national seed and proceeded to get that arse tuned up at home by SEMO and K State in regional play.

We are always forward thinking over here.

Th SEC showed they were the best 5 years ago.

The committee hates having one conference get all the glory. Same with football, with them slotting in those big ten bums and notre dame every year.

Yeah, like when they put Alabama in over 13-0 FSU to lose to some eventual big ten bum national champs

The same team that got stomped by Georgia the year before.

Alabama wasn't even that good and nearly won.

Teams like ECU and UCSB don’t deserve to host. I’m sorry I understand they’re trying to “grow the game” but middle of the pack SEC teams are more deserving than those two.

Which losing conference record SEC team deserved to host over East Carolina? All of them?

The problem is that college baseball is becoming very regional. Adding UTx and to a lesser extent OU makes it even worse.

Outside of the southern ACC schools, and the Arizona schools, no programs are putting the resources into baseball to stay competitive with the SEC. I watched part of the B1G tournament and Big East tournament and the attendance was sad. The B1G tournament is in Omaha and there are more people watching a minor league BP than were in attendance.

The Big East had their tournament at a 1,200 capacity stadium. Twelve Hundred. And there were plenty of empty seats. Even the worst attended SEC baseball team (Mizzou) drew on average more fans to their games than the capacity of that stadium.

Maybe NIL can change that and schools that used to frequently make trips to Omaha like Fullerton, Stanford, and Southern Cal will turn it around but I doubt it.

And weather is a bullshite excuse on why some programs have given up on baseball. The south has always had the advantage of better weather than the north, so that's not the reason why St. John's, Minnesota, Michigan, and Penn State have decided to say frick it.

All of them yes have an argument. It’s the toughest baseball conference in America.

Does kansas have a baseball team?

I thought 1 or 2 in the old Big 12 did not have a team.

Considering only one of those 5 teams made it out of their regional, I find it hard to agree.

If you include Texas and Oklahoma, the SEC has won 44 of 57 games played in Omaha from 2021-2024.. that's 77% of all games..

11 of 16 SEC teams have at least 3 wins in that same time period..
Auburn also has a win.

No other team outside of the SEC has more than 2 wins..

That is flat out ridiculous.

Thanks for the info.

Too bad about Iowa State, they have the best party fans.

Why did UCSB not deserve to host? Top-15 RPI. A perfect regular season at home. Champion of a traditionally multibid league. Won 25 of our last 27 games entering the NCAAs. I'd say it was well earned on the field - and off.

In December local government agencies forced us to start with 10 straight road games, six which were originally home contests. And our head coach's father passed away midseason while in attendance of our midweek game vs UNLV.

No way the NCAA was going to deny us the right to host.
