Instant dumbass, just add alcohol. The way our society glorifies this poison is sick.

think his point is it is a learning experience for his football team to see what drinking and getting behind the wheel of a car can do.

This...and I will talk to my 16 year old about this situation how it changed lives...and to use good judgment. I always told her, if you happen to drink, call your mother and myself and we will pick you up and we will talk about it the next day...NEVER get in a car if she has been drinking or in car of some who has as well.

Sometimes your only purpose in life is to serve as a warning to others. The 18 yr old is sure to learn a hard lesson, and hopefully people who hear this story learn from their mistake. As a father of a 4 year old, if this were to happen to her, I’d like to think that at the very least the tragic story could serve as a lesson and perhaps save someone else’s 4 year old.

Welp. That’s just awful. The reality of that situation makes my stomach turn. What a senseless tragedy. Frick.

Just one drink can impair some people. Don't drink and drive.

Put a bullet in the back of the drunk's head and call it a day.

3rd hand information but I've heard from a couple different places that he was a pledge going to pick up a couple drunk actives and blew well under a .08, the DUI was for being under 21.

Alcohol makes people do things they normally wouldn't. Don't know why cars just don't come equipped with breathalyzers.

Sometimes people hop behind the wheel not even thinking they are too fricked up. You know he wasn't the only one driving drunk on that campus and I see plenty of people getting in their cars after drinking leaving LSUs campus.

He wasn't under 18, I meant under 21. But yes .02 is the legal limit for under 21.

I don't know what I'd do ... but I would have to reach down deep to find forgiveness for that kid who killed that child if I were the parent.

I'd probably be prone to seek revenge and put him out of his misery but I dunno. This one is tough to even contemplate.

So it's possible that the alcohol was not the main factor, but just a case of negligent driving. Very sad either way. 4 years old is just too young. These stories just punch you right in the gut.

Can't be charged with murder unless he had intent

He claims he had 2 beers at 9:30 am. The accident was just before 2:00 pm.

None of this information is helpful to the situation but frick this kid even more if he's lying to authorities to protect his frat Bros.

I realize it shouldn't matter and it won't change this tragedy but that idea is infuriating.

Terrible story in so many was.

Reminds me of the numerous times I’ve seen unmarked patrol cars and motorcycles flying out of campus right after game is over.
No regard to pediatrians fans leaving the game.
