To be fair those 4 teams have played some of the tougher defenses than most SEC schools

Weren't these 4 quarterbacks pre season all world?
Well it’s been revealed Nuss is playing with a torso injury as well as 5 new onlineman is not helping so it explains the lack of vertical attack but LSU has played two of the better front 7s in the country.

And only one of those team is allowing less than 10 ppg.

Did you know…
Through 3 games, the Sooners opponents are a combined 6-3 (all 3 losses to OU)
Through 3 games the Sooners have outscored those opponents by a score of 101-19
In games against everyone other than OU, those opponents have outscored their opponents 277-80

LSU isn’t as good as they’re ranked…it will show through the remainder of the season

Ya beat one overrated big 10 team with a rookie QB and think you're gonna succeed in the SEC. Ha, good luck.

You conveniently left out Michigan who has a top 35 defense and NFL draft picks along the DL.

teams beating up on HBCUs are a good reason to flex

you don't think Clemson and Florida have NFL draft pics all over their defense?
OU scored 24 on Michigan. They looked good. But that isn't exactly considered lighting up the scoreboard...and it is less than 30 so the ONLY team OU faced held yall under 30
LSU will get to pad some offensive stats the next 2 weeks.

Crazy that LSU is #3 in the Country and they average less than 20 points per game.
The reason it isnt crazy is because LSU hasn't played a dud schedule like Oklahoma. Im sure if LSU had played Illinois St., Temple, and Michigan at home theyd be averaging more points per game.

One of those qb's is injured. Thankfully he has a stud defense backing him.

LSU has at least one defensive TD. With more D/ST TDs to come, i'm sure.

That and not losing like Texas.

forget average, has Texas even scored 30 in a game?
Posted on 9/17/25 at 6:37 pm to LSU Patrick
I currently think Texas is overrated in the rankings, so that’s not really an insult.

Not supposed to be an insult like your post was. It was a fact.

Kelly announced that Nussmeier has had an oblique strain since spring. Will hopefully be back to full capacity when LSU faces Ole Piss. Let’s hope. Also, answers the question of why he hasn’t thrown the ball deep yet this season.

LSU’s defense is legit. Once their offense gets on track, they will be tough to beat.
