I will check that out. I have never felt compelled to google “boy dies from peanut allergy” before. But, I can’t recall ever hearing about it on the news or running across a story on it.
But the internet knows all. Just for fun I just googled “space alien impregnates woman” and got page after page of stories and people claiming it happened. So now I am concerned about being attacked by peanuts and aliens. I wonder if aliens are allergic to peanuts?

Eh this sort of thing used to happen all the time back in the day.

A one time outburst won’t do it. Or even a handful of times. At low levels of government, our rulers are well aware that little attention is paid, and they’re more than willing to wait out an occasional public outrage. A dedicated core group (at the least) has to be seen consistently at public meetings. Facebook groups should be set up to keep people informed and to generate a constant stream of scrutiny.
It’s hard work, and there’s no guarantee of success, but these are things we’ve found to work, to an extent, anyway.

PEANUT ALLERGY IS THE SECOND MOST COMMON FOOD ALLERGY IN CHILDREN AND IS ON THE INCREASE. IT OCCURS IN ABOUT 1 IN 50 CHILDREN AND 1 IN 200 ADULTS. PEANUT IS THE MOST LIKELY FOOD TO CAUSE ANAPHYLAXIS AND DEATH. IT HAS BEEN ESTIMATED THAT THERE IS ONE DEATH FOR EVERY 200 EPISODES OF ANAPHYLAXIS

Also, marching in defense of peanut allergists is going to be a tough nut to crack.
Most people I believe are going to largely roll their eyes.
Are there food allergies? Yes, of course. Does it seem like a lot of white suburban middle class mothers tend to blow it way out of proportion? Also yes. Does it seem like some of them are in a competition to see who’s child can be afflicted by the most maladies? Also yes.
There are assholes in this world. If the biggest one you run into in life leaves peanuts in your locker, then you are a blessed person.
The fact this happened in Austin probably explains why some are trying to make this such a big deal. This story is right up a social justice warrior’s alley.

You can't be that stupid. Peanut allergies kill. People have died from kissing their bf/gf after said person ate something containing peanuts earlier in the day. It's not the kind of allergy you can screw around with. If you knowingly place peanuts/peanut products in someone's belongings that has this type of allergy it's no different than poisoning their food with cyanide. It's just as deadly. If you do so after being informed of that it's next level evil.

Completely agree with all this.
I grew up in the suburbs, but I no longer understand the people who live there.
