Mannon and other parents have spoken out at a school board meeting. They are outraged and think the act deserves more serious punishment, including criminal charges.

The parents are within their rights to press charges; the school can't stop them from doing so.

You are an idiot. Both of my older brothers have peanut allergies and I have seen them firsthand get hold of a nut in their food not just peanuts any kind of nut their throat swells up their face turns red and then their throat gets very constricted. One of my brothers is 70 years old. My other brother is 68 years old so no it’s not a new thing you fricking douche bag.

It's definitely not "new"; just coverage of it is new.

It also wouldn't surprise me if quite a few deaths happened in the past without anyone knowing the cause.

Lol is this the part where Arkansas fans remind us that they rushed the field after notching their 23rd win in 79 tries against a Texas program that lost 7 games and to Kansas at home that year?

Since September 2021, would you rather have Texas' success over the past 3 years with an 0-1 record in that game, or Arkansas'?

I think we both know the answer

Dying from touching a peanut does seem to be a recent development. You would think that if it were such a deadly epidemic, you’d actually hear about people dying from it every once in a while. But I can’t recall when I have heard that.

It does seem that a LOT of the kids that have peanut allergies would find something else to be victimized by if it weren’t for the peanut.

Peanuts can kill my youngest boy. If he eats them for sure. If he touches them, he does have a severe allergic reaction. It happens. He's also tough as nails and competes at a high level in Muay Thai and jiu-jitsu. That whole "It does seem that a LOT of the kids that have peanut allergies would find something else to be victimized by if it weren’t for the peanut" is bullshite.

Arkansas has a 23-56 record against Texas, and would give anything to trade their football record with Texas over the past 10 years (the single worst period in Texas football history).

Oof

What kind of psycho would look at this story and say "who gives a shite?"

The kind who read the story and don’t necessarily believe the mother. The kind who read this in the story.

Maybe everyone in Austin, TX is corrupt? Or maybe mom is making this out to be a bigger deal than it is? I don’t know. But after all the bullshite news stories we have been fed the last five years I am inclined to think the latter. It seems very ‘The Boy Who Cried Wolf’.

If the boy was so deathly allergic to peanuts I would have expected a worse reaction to being pelted by peanuts and having his locker and clothes filled with them. Maybe mom is exaggerating a little about that? Maybe mom is exaggerating about a lot.

I am betting the school has a little better grasp on what really happened, the people involved, and the history of them than we do from this one news story. I just refuse to get bent out of shape over one biased news article and interview.

Maybe I am a pyscho.

I mean UGA took a player that put his jizz in some teammates water bottle.

Also, wasn't George Pickens accused of whooping the hell out a small kid in hs?

Or maybe the boy had an epipen or an antihistamine that he used to help the reaction not be so severe. People with these allergies are very aware and normally have medication on them in the event of accidentally ingesting or coming into contact with whatever they are allergic too. Anaphylactic shock untreated can cause death.

You and Willy would probably think these kids were COOL if they had made the kid drink grain alcohol until he died of alcohol poisoning.

You guys are also taking it too seriously and fighting to the death defending a peanut allergy of a kid you don’t know. The kid is alive….

I can make this pretty easy.

If someone willfully exposes someone to something they already said could kill them, they're psycho.

If you think it's funny or not a big deal, you may not be a psycho, but you're definitely a moron.

It is almost like no one here actually read the news article or listened to the interview before deciding to be so angry.

And some of you are correct, I don’t really give a shite about food allergies. The list of things to worry about is so stacked this year it doesn’t even crack the top 25.

I feel bad that people have them. I hope they take precautions. I am not going to smear peanut butter on them.

I am very allergic to poison ivy. I break out in blisters when I look at it. Found out that burning a bunch of poison ivy and breathing in the smoke will put me in the hospital. Despite this, poison ivy doesn’t crack the top 25 either.

Some of you guys are talking about attempted murder charges, comparing peanuts to cyanide, trying to get people cancelled or worse. Over a news article it seems many didn’t read.

For those here that want to be outraged over how cruel people can be and how unfair life is, may I suggest volunteering at a children’s hospital. Be sure and visit the cancer ward and burn unit.
