You keep throwing out that average word but what Henry did last year was anything but "average".

He didn't describe Henry as average.

The collective record of the teams Heisman winners play on is over 90%. Whether rightly or wrongly the winner is almost always a skill position offensive player on a top 4 team.

I'll be alright. I don't base my self-worth on how my favorite football team performs. I like to leave that to Alabama fans.
Ok, rickydaddy.

He didn't have those signature, flashy runs
I don't know a 243lb back accelerating past and away from athletic DBs seems pretty cool.

He apparently had enough flashy runs to gain almost 2300 yards.

someone on the rant thinks Henry doesn't think Henry deserved the Heisman!?!?!

Who cares what you think? Nobody.
The Heisman trophy has a lot of prestige, but it also has a huge stigma to it as well. No matter how many people hate on the process and why and how WHO gets picked... people still love the trophy.. people still want it.
You're still bothered about something that happened 4 months ago enough to start a thread about it. Henry won. He walked the line. He will never have it stripped from him, and he's a good man from any evidence all of us have seen from him.
Almost every year people complain about the Heisman and have cogent arguments about who "deserved" it more than the winner. Guess what. You don't have a vote for it, and the ones that do disagree with you.
Relax! Hug your wife... hug your mom or dad. Henry -is- the Heisman from last year.

They had to give it to somebody. They picked the most talked about player on the most talked about team. Maybe one of the down years when an average player ends up with it, they will change how they give it out and not give it out every year.
As an Alabama fan, I'd like to congratulate this auNeck. As a football fan, I'd like to also congratulate him on his aptly described qualifications for a Heisman.
He understands, unlike most here, that the Heisman was never meant to be awarded to the best player in the nation.
It was created with a stated vision of gifting the honors and the trophy to the the player on the team that excelled in every area.
The player that was the best on what many consider to be the best team of the season in D1 is given the trophy.
This player is also required to be not just a player on the team but, the cog. Without him, they suffer. With him, they dominate and he can be counted on to take control of the game and lead the team to overcome all obstacles, or close to that standard.
This same level player on a lesser team made a mistake in which college he chose to attend.
