Unless UK has a super secret weapon, UK is in trouble this game.

O line is their problem if they don't have a massive week 2 improvement. C-Rod wouldn't get much with how they played against Miami,OH.

In the past Stoops always makes exceptions for suspended players if it is a big game. I wouldn't count out Rodriguez.

Supposedly the AD is forcing it. That is what I think the KY fans are claiming anyway.

That's what was strongly alluded to on KSR - which is the go to radio show for inside stuff on UK. They're right much, much more often than wrong.

No, he hasn’t.

Either way, he pretty much said today that it’s out of his hands. Most believe it’s an NIL issue and compliance is holding him out.

As for OP, both McClain and Jefferson played yesterday and were injured. So it’ll be Smoke and Wright.

ETA: If you watch the comment in the press conference today he literally says “I’ve been advised not to say” when it comes to CRod and Jordan Wright being out. It’s pretty clear AD and compliance has put the kabosh on even talking about it (which means it’s definitely not just the DUI).

Smoke is plenty good enough to hurt Florida on his own if that OL can learn to block in a week. It looks like it’s on Levis and their skill guys to win the game for uk. Uf secondary really hasn’t been tested yet so it’ll be interesting to see how it goes. Uk defense looked good enough to me to give Uf problems.

The hope is Horsey will be back at LT this game. He played one series but I could see Stoops holding him out to get some more pass protection reps in for the younger guys on the line.

I’m excited for La’Vell Wright though. Watched him some in HS. And he came in and has some excellent blocks in pass protection late in the game. He may provide some nice depth.

Levis went 7/17 for 87 yards and 1 TD and 1 pick against UF in Lexington last year.

If UKs OL struggles like last week, and they can’t take advantage of UFs lack of depth up front and are forced into obvious passing situations, it could get ugly in a hurry.

I am guessing Wright was redshirted last season. I see he played in 2 games with 9 carries for 118 yards and a TD. Busted off a couple of good runs.

I hope I am wrong, but I don't see us blowing people out under Napier. He likes to play a ball control offense (which I hate) and for a team that had as much success as they did last season, ULa played a crap ton of close games.

It's a bold strategy let's see how it plays out!

He did. His biggest run was 40+ yards against Louisville. They’re not exactly a defensive juggernaut though.

I think his protection is going to be the most valuable.

Wright is legit but is also young and the OL struggled against Miami…Ohio. Plenty of talent at the WR spot but we’ll need to run as well to beat the Gators.

Defense looks pretty good but we’ll need the offense to step up and help them out. I had us going 8-4 this year with a loss to the Gators so a loss on Saturday won’t change my season outlook.
