Clowney
JFF
Sam
Add in all the SEC players picked and it was like the draft was a 3 day commercial for the SEC.

And the sub plot was McCarron, Murray, and Mettenberger being the forgotten sons.

Shouldn't even be a story. I'm all for equality and the attention he is getting is not equality.

Amen, his sexual preference should not be the main story

Exactly. Equal access regardless of race, creed, color is awesome. Anything else is ridiculous.
Sam got drafted because he might be able to help the Rams. The rest just needs to die, including trolling the ghey threads from our own fanbase.

Agreed. He was only a "story" because he's black. I would think we would be over the black NFL DE by now, but I guess not.

This Michael Sam crap is disgusting. Not the fact that he's gay, but the attention his gayness is getting him in the draft.

When people quit going apeshit over gays it will no longer be news. By the looks of things around here that will be a while

It sure was for me. I am still stunned all three were on the board for that long. I hope all three have long NFL careers.
......also a sub-sub plot, how long it took for the first RB to come off the board. Guards and Safeties are more valued than RB's now.

When someone breaks down walls, it's going to be a story. They sure as hell didn't write about my friend (who's black) when me and him sat in the front of the bus this past weekend, but they still write about Rosa Parks. So, yes, in time, I hope you're right and it's not a story. But someone breaking barriers is a story. If you don't get that, I can't help you.

We let Mizzou into the SEC and they give us inter-racial homosexual football within 2 years.

AJ being such a douche that he cost himself atleast 2 rounds. Grow up!!!

Comparing Rosa Parks and the civil rights movement to Sams and the gay culture is atrocious.

You guys are way off topic. If he can play he will get a chance! I wish him the best.

So are you implying Slive & Co in Birmingham added Mizzou so they could open the gay market in the SEC? Interesting. I hope Sam makes it but being the very bottom of the draft and a pick by the local team you have to wonder if the NFL offered some incentive to the Rams in the private suites of power.

Kill yourself.
If it had been a straight couple smearing cake all over their faces and making out I would have had the same damn reaction.
But that's beside the point.
The only reason why this dude was even a story is because he was gay. Who's being the homophobe here? Us or ESPN?
Why should his sexual preference even be a story? He was all over Drudge and every other major news service in the country. Not because he was the most talented player in the draft (he most certainly wasn't), but because he was gay.
I think it's the media, and not the fans on this board, who need to stop going apeshit over gays.
