re: 2nd & 3rd tier fan bases- do you legitimately think your team can EVER win a Nat Champ?

Where is that talent going? Just curious
Ohio State and Oklahoma mostly, with some Michigan, Auburn, Alabama, etc mixed in there.
As the poster above me said, we haven’t done a great job locking the talent down, but it’s there for sure.

Uh Mizzou has won the CWS too.
That’s just classic Cheese Tits doing whatever he can to try and put Mizzou down, even if it’s being factually incorrect.

Well it appears this thread is about Football looking ahead. If so, do you think Hogs have a legit shot at a NC at some point?

Slow your roll there Sparky
Mizzou did win a CWS (back in the B&W TV days) but they were not in the SEC at the time. Clearly OP implied SEC school in the actual SEC. So much free rent in that head of yours and I am not even trying.

UGA just won 2 so at least 2nd tier fanbases have a chance
Yea, all they need is for their program to somehow become the best job in college football.
And before anyone has a stroke, Lord Saban is the one who proclaimed UGA the best job in the country.

The NCAA is inviting 12 teams to the party next year. Getting in the back door will give these teams a chance. But they only went from noway to a longshot.

thats such a deflection to the question that you were asked?
I cited not only football, but basketball, and baseball. I post Basketball because SC is not in a great area for picking up talent. The right coach made it happen. facilities were built for him.
baseball was put because a coach took a program that was in bad shape and the admin built facilities for him.
I lastly did cite football, and while the success has not been there long term there have been pockets. With Spurrier our admin poured money into our program. Our facilities are on par with anyone in the conference. There is zero reason that SC can't start recruiting at a high level and build up as a program. you keep saying it can't happen but don't say why. You arent rebutting anything. No shite we havent won anything, had we we wouldnt be on this list. The question was Can our program and yeah..we could.
I'm not wasting my time with an obvious alter who thinks that the UF football program has 0 advantages over coaching at SCar. Sorry.

And don't play dumb, this is obviously a football only thread.

When you have no real argument is it just your thing to call someone an alter? No shite its a football thread, you still have failed to list any advantages that UF has that are "unavailable" to SC. That said, my school as noted has never won a title. I believe we can in the future, and I am tasked with providing reasoning for why I believe SC can win one. Success in other sports is worth citing.

Wrong.
And no, success in basketball or college baseball has 0% to do with football. Especially the former.

Wrong, not my fault you have poor reading comprehension.

Lack of parity is easily the worst part about college football. Ole Miss has not won the SEC since 1963. Mississippi State's last SEC title was 1941. Arkansas has yet to win the SEC in football. Nationally, it's gotten to the point where I doubt whether Notre Dame can still win the NC.

Talent through recruiting is a must. The transfer portal has to become an art. But that means that the guys you are losing to the magic portal aren't better than what you bring in. Is that really happening at SC?

"All we need is a Joe Burrow!" Completely ignoring that 2019 LSU had 51 blue chip players on scholarship. Good grief.

You made the comment about UF having advantages that SC does not. You then proceeded to not list those advantages. You talked about TCU not being in the SEC, you mentioned Mizzou winning the CWS, and you have argued with me. Still no mention of these mysterious advantages.

Again, your lack of reading comprehension in this entire thread isn't my fault. Unless you're willing to make a ban bet.

Well the question wasnt do you think your team can win a championship right now, it was EVER.
but to answer your question I think we are getting there. Our program is in a far better place now than it was in 2020. I think this offseason we did upgrade at a majority of spots, but no I don't think Shane is there yet. We are pushing upwards though. What I like about Shane is he is a young dude that could be there long enough to grow a program.

I don't care about a ban bet. do whatever you want, but you havent mentioned a single advantage that SC does not have. Not once. The closest you get is mentioning FL being a blue chip state, but we border you...SC has access to FL. thats not an advantage that SC doesnt have. you mention nothing else.
