No way Deboer loses 4 games with the 4th most talented team in America.

right, that woudl be far more relevant.

These lists make up the entire 100 person roster which is meaningless. A team (not just UGA but anyone) could have a dozen 4 and 5 stars that are either true or RS freshmen that haven't played a down yet...those gusy will almost surely not really factor heavily into the season's outcome.

Why? He's lost 4 games each of the past 2 years and those teams had more talent (according to the 247 composite). This is his least talented team (according to the 247 composite).

all the gnashing of teeth aside, for now, what is the overall feel from T-Town on this season, and Deboer?

That's awesome, we appreciate your interest in our program. It's great to know that even other fan bases spend their time following the Tide!

Does this use transfer rankings for transfer players or their initial HS ranking?

Age would be great too, I agree.

I obviously don't speak for all Bama fans, but in reading our various message boards, I'd say the vast majority of our fans are extremely excited about the season.

This is the first year where we have a roster of pretty much all guys KDB and his staff have personally identified and recruited. This is really the first time since KDB has been at Bama that we'll get to see the team running his full offensive scheme.

The defense should be outstanding. They were great last year and the coaching staff has worked hard to correct some deficiencies we had the past couple of years (e.g., DL being too small, LBs being too small, etc.).

Youth and inexperience are the biggest issues this team has (especially on offense). If these guys can grow up quickly, we have a real chance to be successful. If they don't, the season could be really rough.

Hope for the best!

Imagine being 23rd in the country, but 14th in conference.

Only initial HS rankings. 247 admits that's a big issue and they've said they're working to correct it.

Also, as of July 2025, the composite now uses recruit rankings from 247, ESPN, and On3 (but there's still a tab to just use 247 rankings).

Seems like they're ranked 38th this year, in honor of beating us last year 38-3.

I remember my sense of impending catastrophe when Lou Tepper mentioned it would take 3-4 years to develop his system.
