He’s a former AU writer. Of course he’s gonna say that about the Saban tree.

This doesn't mean what he seems to think it means. Texas being Texas means they're soft, inept, and squarely in the rear-view of numerous programs that they were once better than.

"We're Texas". Yeah, we know, which is why no one gives a shite.

Haha even I agree the Tom Herman portion was full of cringe.

He's the best coach Texas has had since Mack Brown

A. Not a hard accomplishment to be better than the worst win percentage in Texas history (that was Charlie Strong)
B. We're barely a half decade removed from the Mack Brown era.

I have my doubts, but Texas is Texas.

Yea... "Texas is Texas" would honestly bring up more memories of Maryland and Kansas than Vince Young and Colt McCoy in 2020

For the record, I still have belief that Herman can figure it out eventually. But nothing in that article was of any substance

So I guess Jimbo doesn't count from Saban's tree?

He came off Les Miles’ shrub.

fricking James Franklin is not closer to a national title than Smart, Riley, or even Mullen

He might be.

Mainly because he has an easier path to get the shot. IF they get lucky and beat Ohio State, they do not have a ton of tough games.

so mullen is more likely than kirby because they "might be better" for one year? we can't wait until he, i dunno, beats us once to make that claim?

and james franklin lmao. we all know why he's listed where he is.

I know Ryan Day has only been a head coach for one year but I think he will be Meyers equal, if not better... Great reputation everywhere he's been, in college and the pro's, excellent staff he assembles, and man can he recruit. I thought Meyers was one of the 2 best, but Day might be better. It's still early but he's got all the earmarks of future greatest. One thing is certain though, he doesn't carry any of the garbage that Meyer has.

Son, at my age, I only do that to make sure it is still there.

Also, it seems you are implying Franklin is on the list because he is black but you lack the balls (perhaps you should touch yourself) to say that.

IF you really think that, don't be shy.

I think he is over-ranked due to a constantly over-ranked and credited Big 10 and that has led to 11 win seasons three out of the last four years.
