All it takes is 1 team that looks at his film in the best Conference in CFB to pull the trigger

If he comes out he's drafted in round 1-3

He's the #5-6 back on the board

It's not a guarantee he goes in the 3rd round and it's almost certain he doesn't go in 1/2 rounds

Very good player. Definitely a deep RB group for Bama

Najee got a "return to school" grade from the NFL advisory committee

That honestly shocking to me. Wonder why? The kid seems to be exactly what you'd want out of an NFL back. He runs hard, rarely goes down at first contact, has plenty of speed to hit the hole (albeit not great breakaway speed), has good vision and seems to be a great blocker. And the most underrated part of his game is his pass catching ability. That back shoulder catch he made against LSU was a catch plenty of receivers wouldn't make. I used to doubt whether he was overrated, but what he did this season definitely changed my mind.

If a team wanted to take him in round 1 they could have told him and told him to keep it quiet. I suspect that is what the Dolphins did with Tua.

One loaded arse RB room next year.

Najee Harris
Trey Sanders
Brian Robinson
Keilan Robinson

Jase McClellan
Roydell Williams
Kyle Edwards

I imagine that someone else is going to transfer soon.

Damn - hard to see how any of the three freshmen don't redshirt barring significant injuries.

He was giving a 2nd rd grade by pro focus with an opportunity to increase his draft position with a solid combine. But, there's the flipside also you have to consider. All in all, smart move. He'll be the top back in tbe conference next year and the NFL will notice!

What % of the Offense production is coming back ? Alabama will always be able to plug in a RB, most teams do not lean on RBs anymore. Smith an Waddle are the only real playmakers and they still need someone to get the ball to them.

I understand that but draft grades are sometimes just fodder. Some people get 1st round grades and almost go UDFA and vice versa. Some players should know to bank on themselves.

Najee Harris passes the eye test. Dude reminds me a lot of Derrick Henry. I know 32 NFL teams that could use a Derrick Henry like player.

2 main factors

(1) The loaded top end of the class
(2) His lack of breakaway ability. His longest run at Alabama, in his career, is 35 yards.

If there weren't 3-4 "total package" backs (Swift, Ettiene, Dobbins, Taylor) he'd probably have a chance earlier. But I think he's clearly behind those 4, so his ceiling in the draft is a lot lower than maybe other years.

Again happy for Bama fans for keeping a gem but worried for the kid. RBs rolling the dice is a scary proposition

Jones, while certainly not at the level of Tua, has demonstrated that he is more than adequate at distributing the ball.

Most teams would be pretty ecstatic at "only" bringing back two 1st round quality playmakers on offense along with a stable of good backs.

I'm not impressed with Taylor, maybe I'm being unfair, but is he just another Wisconsin RB that'll fizzle in the Pros?

I also think that Derrick Henry's playoff run is gonna make NFL GMs value RBs like Najee Harris more than the pre Draft grades will indicate

I think he's a 2nd or 3rd round guy

Again, most of his yardage was short passes turned into big runs. Those passes were created by the deep threat of Ruggs and Juedy. Now teams can jam Bama's WRs at the LOS and take a chance with Jones accuracy. You couldn't do that with Tua and the 4 WRs. It also created holes for Harris to run thru. The dynamics of Bama's Offense has totally changed and I haven't even talked about the OL.

Not to mention that we will probably have the best OL in the nation next year

But if you can not get them the ball, they are only important to the GMs the next spring. How many first round WR has LSU had the last 10 years.
